There are several options open for traveling inside the city like- taxis, cabs, privately-owned public buses, and microbuses etc. But what is recommended is to take a minibus that is not expensive and carries fewer passengers than normal buses, thus saving time. The subway is not very useful for tourists, but should be experienced once. Taxis are indispensable in Cairo's life as they are safe and comfortable way to get around the city.

Getting Around

Cairo International Airport (CAI) is located in the north-east area of central Cairo. It is a busy two-terminal airport which is used by major international airlines as well as a large number of local operators. It has several daily international as well as domestic flights.

The airport has all the facilities that include a functioning banking area, ATMs, restaurants, coffee shops, 24-hour bars, a pharmacy etc.
