People of Kenya
Kenya comprises of over 40 different ethnic groups. The main tribe groups are the Nilotic people, who originate from Sudan, Hamitic group which is from Somalia and Ethiopia and the Bantu who came from Western Africa. The chief tribes are Meru (5%), Kikuyu (21%), Luo (14%), Kalenjin, Kisii, Luyha, Kamba, Masai, Swahili, and Turkana etc.

Languages
