Cabramurra is the highest town on the Australian continent, situated in the western Snowy Mountains of the Great Dividing Range, in the state of New South Wales. The name Cabramurra means “crooked hand” and was established in 1954. It is a company town as it is the residence for the workers employed in the nearby Tumut two hydro-electric power station and electrical switching yards, and the Tumut Pondage dam.
