China has two distinct seasons: the dry season, and the wet season. The dry season is marked by the dry and cold winds while the winds blowing during the wet season are warm and moist. The monsoons mark the wet seasons in China. There is distinct temperature difference between the two seasons.
China is surrounded by 14 countries. The countries bordering China are Laos, Vietnam, Burma, Bhutan, India, Pakistan, Nepal, Tajikistan, Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Russia, Mongolia, and North Korea. Besides this, China also has maritime boundaries with Japan, Vietnam, South Korea, Taiwan and the Philippines. China lies between latitudes 18 degrees and 54 degrees N and longitudes 73 degrees and 135 degrees E.
