Zandvoort is in the province of North Holland located in Netherlands. Zandvoorts is the closest beach from Amsterdam, in Holland. It is a nine kilometer long beach with the wide expanse, clean waters and cafes that makes it a popular destination for holidays. Zandvoort was initially known as Sandevoerde and was under the French rule during the eighteenth century. This region is popular for its dune potatoes which has helped in the development of the tourism industry. Tourism is the main source of income in Zandvoort. After reaching Amsterdam you can either take the train or a bus to Zandvoort. Bus is a cheap option but it consumes a lot of time.
