Introduction
Christmas is the major festival all across the world. It is celebrated on 25th December of every year as the Birthday of Jesus Christ. He was born on this date to Mother Merry. He is believed to be the Son of God who incarnated on the earth for the atonement of Sin. The festival is usually celebrated in the season of winter when the environment is shrouded by the white snowfall and beautiful Alpine trees.
Legend Associated with Charismas
The story of Charismas is associated with biblical account given in the Gospel of Matthew. Jesus Christ, the propagator of Christianity, was born to Marry who was a virgin by the miracle of Holy Spirit. Angel Gabriel told virgin Marry that her son would be a special one as he is the Son of God. With the birth of the child the special season of Christmastide started which usually lasts for twelve days.
Celebration:
The celebration of Christmas is full of fun and frolic. People visit their family and arrange the most lavish party for enjoyment. They decorate everything around them and paint the surroundings with the color of festivities. Christmas star, mistletoe, the good-luck plant, ivy etc. are used to decorate home, work place etc. The illuminating Christmas tree decked by crystal balls, gifts, chocolates, lightings etc. add up to the festivity of the night. People offer service in the Church and seek the gifts and blessings from Santa Clause. Santa Clause, the Father Charismas is very popular among the kids as they distribute gifts, sweets and chocolates for the children as the token of love from the God.
