Role of Education

Teacher’s Day in India is observed on 5 th September, every year as an acknowledgment to all the teachers of the society. To pay tribute to a great teacher, Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan, this day is celebrated across the country. A staunch believer of education, diplomat, a scholar and more importantly the President of India, Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan with his efforts has refined the role of teacher. He believed that teachers mould the lives of people, guide them and help them through different paths of lives. According to him, the lessons that influence students remain with them throughout their lives.

Moreover, Teacher’s Day is not only looked forward by teachers but students as well. It is a day when students from various schools dress themselves as teachers and take up lectures assigned to them by teachers. Also, various regular activities are performed by students concerning particular teacher. On this special day, students realize how it feels to be a teacher and efforts made by a teacher in transforming the lives of students.
