| | About | | Built in 1917 by Maharaja Birendra Kishore Manikya, the palace was originally called Pushbanta Palace. It is located about 1 km away from the Ujjayanta Palace. It is now the official residence of the Governor of Tripura with well-laid gardens and lawns. The southern part of the palace is named as Rabindra Kanan and is open to the public. | | | About | | This is a bungalow adjacent to Kunjaban palace, which was originally a temporary house, where Tagore stayed during his visit in 1919, but subsequently was made a permanent one and named Malancha Niwas. It was mainly meant for pleasure and rest house of Maharajas.
Originally this place was a kaccha house just beside the Kunjaban Palace that was later constructed into a pucca bunglow. There was an underground tunnel from Malancha connected with Ujjayanta Castle.
