About
This is a bungalow adjacent to Kunjaban palace, which was originally a temporary house, where Tagore stayed during his visit in 1919, but subsequently was made a permanent one and named Malancha Niwas. It was mainly meant for pleasure and rest house of Maharajas. Originally this place was a kaccha house just beside the Kunjaban Palace that was later constructed into a pucca bunglow. There was an underground tunnel from Malancha connected with Ujjayanta Castle.
