| About Zoo & Art Museum
|
For the animal enthusiasts, Trichur boasts of a zoo, about 2 kms. from the town centre. Within the zoo compound is a small Art Museum that has a good collection of woodcarvings, metal sculptures, Kathakali figures and ancient jewellery. There is also a wonderful collection of traditional Kerala lamps.

| Fauna collection
|
A variety of fauna like the lion tailed macaque, sloth bear, elephant, species of birds and deer. The snake part has a reptilian collection of King Cobras, Kraits, Vipers and Rat Snakes.

Located at the Public Gardens, the zoo is noted for its reptile house.
Timings: 10.00 hrs. to 17.00 hrs. It is closed on Mondays
