Cranes Nest is a 4 star (TGCSA) exclusive Lodge situated between the towns of Belfast and Lydenburg in the heart of the Mpumalanga Mountains. Feast your eyes on the abundant indigenous fauna and flora. This is a popular birding area as also home to a very special little fish known as the Southern Kneria or Southern Shell-Eared fish. The Blue Cranes have returned to the Kwena valley and their call is one of the most distinctive of the vast grasslands. A natural spring on the top of the mountain is the source of our pure and refreshing drinking water.
