Bangalore Palace

Introduction :

Indeed so, if you come across the Bangalore Palace you shall be enamored by the splendor and magnificence of it, and science, art and architecture would mingle together before your eyes in the form of the splendid Bangalore Palace.

Bangalore Palace is a worthwhile site at Karnataka and consists of large and spacious palaces that have been enthused from the Windsor Castle of England. It lies in the heart of the city of Bangalore and is an exquisite tourist locale.

Description of the Bangalore Palace :
The main building has been constructed mainly with wood, and there are numerous paintings, frescoes and artistic elements in the palace. The equipped columns contain rare and original weapons of the kings and Maharajas of that time. There are also gothic style of windows and cornices, paintings and moldings on the wall of the Palace. Chitradurga Fort

Chitradurga Fort, also known as the ‘Fort of Seven Rounds’, is situated at Chitradurga, an old town about 200 km from Bangalore, in Karnataka. It is about 290 km south of Hospet on the Bangalore-Hospet road. The fort, with its 19 gateways and 38 postern entrances, has been regarded as a military marvel. In fact the city of Chitradurga derives its name after this fort.
Chitradurga Fort was built in the 17th century by the Nayak Paleyagars, the wealthy semi-independent landlords who fled south after the collapse of the Vijayanagar Empire in 1565. The fort was later conquered by Hyder Ali who rebuilt the mud fort with stone. A mosque, palace, oil pits and granaries were added to it during the rule of Tipu Sultan. This hill fort also houses the temples of the Sampige Siddheshwara, Hidimbeshwara Temple, Phalguneshwara, Ekanathamma and Gopalakrishna.

The fort covers about 300 acres and the total length of the fort is 8 km. According to the official records, the fort has 50 wear-houses, 19 gateways, 28 postern gates, 35 secret entrances and four invisible entrances.

Daria Daulat Bagh

Introduction :
Daria Daulat Bagh is also famous as the Summer Palace of Tipu Sultan. Daria Daulat Bagh is situated on the bank of Cauvery River. Daria Daulat Bagh in Bangalore in Karnataka is an important Monument in Karnataka and a major Tourist Attraction in Karnataka. Daria Daulat Bagh is built in Indo-Islamic style. The lush green garden and the majestic open space stand as an embodiment of the majestic existence of the king Tipu Sultan. Tipu Sultan used this palace as a retreat from the strenuous life of a king. The vibrant color of the monument and the arabesque work gives the palace a different and attractive dimension. Daria Daulat Bagh at present houses a museum which is better known as the Tipu Sultan Museum. This museum is one of its kinds in the whole country by keeping in mind the fact that this is a museum that is devoted fully to a person.

Description :

The construction of ceilings, pillars, arches and walls of the palace with teak wood are worth seeing. There are some brilliant paintings done on the woods. On the inner walls the floral patterns and the geometric designs are beautifully painted which adds beauty to the palace. There are also some paintings done in the eastern and the western hall. The western hall bears paintings of the battle fields and the eastern hall depicts some court scenes and the courtiers.
