32 kms. on the Jaisalmer road is located the Gajner Wildlife Sanctuary surrounded by hillocks. Gajner Palace, a summer resort of kings built on the beautiful lake along the sanctuary has been converted into a hotel. Migratory birds like the Imperial Sand Grouse make the Gajner Lake their home during the winters. The sun shines brightly in Gajner. The colorful turbans of its inhabitants sparkle like speckles of colored dust. The little town of Gajner is like an oasis in the royal land, offering a fresh retreat from the hot and humid land of Rajasthan.

The Pink sandstone palace reflects beautifully in waters of the lake. The palace has been converted into a heritage hotel.|
