About Bundi

Bundi is a quaint town located in the Indian state of Rajasthan. In the former times, the region of Bundi was ruled by the Rajputs and inhabited by the tribe named Bundi. Due to their inhabitance on a large scale, this region got its name as Bundi. Due to its picturesque locations, it has emerged as a popular tourist destination in Rajasthan.


Bundi is elevated at a height of 879 feet above the sea level and is surrounded by the Aravali hills. It shares its boundaries with Tonk district in North, Kota in East, Bhilwara in West and Chittorgarh in South-West. The climate of Bundi is described as subtropical. With such climate, this town faces searing summers and pleasant winters. The median mercury levels during the summer scale between 37°C-40°C and rests below 15°C during the winter season. 2850 mm is the annual average precipitation received by Bundi.
