The ˜Bahudhanyaka", history of Haryana which is 5000 years old and is full of Vedic legends is soaked up with glory. The Gita was preached by Lord Krishna in Kurukshetra, the holy land, situated in Haryana. Mahabharat was written by Ved Vyas on the Saraswati River's banks in Haryana. The Haryanvi People have martial arts laid over an ancient heritage full of spiritual values. This state has a rich variety of folk dances, craft, festivals and fairs. On 1st November in the year of 1966, Haryana became India's new state with its capital being Chandigarh. Haryana is really famous for milk products and basmati rice.

Culture of Haryana: Haryana is proud of a rich cultural heritage. The state is rich in folklore. The people have
their own traditions. The age old customs are still observed by the masses. The seasonal and
religious festivals glorify the culture of this region. The dance is said to be the mother of all
arts. Music and poetry exist in tune, painting and architecture in space. The dance is just not
a form of recreation but something needed to release the physical and emotional energy. Folk
dances, like any other creative art, helps in sublimating the performer's worries and cares.
How To Reach: By Air : - The Chandigarh airport is connected to other places in the country like Delhi, Amritsar, and Leh. Proximity to the Indira Gandhi International Airport at Delhi gives the state greater access to places in India and abroad.
By Rail : - All the major places in Haryana are connected to Delhi and other important centers all over the country in India by a good network of trains. Both the Central and Northern Railways have extensive networks in the state.
By Road : - There is a good road network in the state that connects all the places in Haryana to each other as well as from the places outside the state boundary like Delhi, Punjab, and Uttar Pradesh. The Haryana State Road Transport Corporation and private operators have good services to all the places in the state.
