The driest month of the year has precipitation as low as 60mm (2.36 in). The Hassan district is located 194kms from Bangalore. Some of the popular market areas in the city are MG Road or Mahatma Gandhi Road, K R Puram and Gandhi bazaar. There are also many shopping malls in the city. There is also no dearth of the entertainment options available in the city such as theatres, bars, pubs, clubs etc.
