Climate & Geography

The climate of Kenya is tropical along the coast, temperate towards the inland and arid in the north and the northeast of Kenya. The nights and the early mornings are cooler while the days are full of sunshine. The period between March and June is the rainy season of Kenya. The months of February and March, which occur just before the rainy season, are the hottest months of the March.

Kenya has one of the largest areas of lands under agriculture in Africa. Kenya is a land of mountains and glaciers.

Territory & Capital : Kenya lies between latitudes 5 degrees N and 5 degrees S and longitudes 34 degrees and 42 degrees E. It is surrounded by Tanzania on the south, the Indian Ocean on the south-east, Uganda to the west, South-Sudan to the northwest, Somalia to the north-east, Ethiopia to the north. Nairobi is the capital and the largest city of Kenya. Nairobi is popularly known as the “Green City in the Sun”.

Suitable Visiting Seasons : Kenya is a tourist’s paradise and can be visited all throughout the year. However, the dry season of June to October provides the best opportunities for the tourists. This is the time when the chances of rainfall ruining the trip.
