Day Wise Breakup

Day 1 - Arrival and transfer to your hotel for check in.

Thereafter, city tour and Visit the city centre, Nyamirambo markets and the Kimironko fruits market where you have a chance to meet the locals and choose your fruit basket. The Richard Kandts museum of natural history Belgium memorial soldiers who were killed in genocide of 1994. Lunch at the pool side of the Hotel. Afternoon, visit of Gisozi Genocide Memorial, Remera stadium soccer and heroes cemetery, a state house of President Habyarimana Juvenal died in plane crash 1994. Dinner and Overnight at East African Villas or similar.

Day 2 - East African

After breakfast drive to Nyamata & Ntarama memorial genocide then back to Kigali lunch at hotel relax at swimming pool at Mille Colline then back to you hotel dinner and overnight stay at East African Villas.

Day 3 - East African

Drive to Butare and on the way visit Nyanza ancient royal palace and Butare national museums there you can see more about historic of Rwanda, Lunch at hotel Ibis in Butare. Drive back to Kigali for dinner and overnight at East African or similar.

Day 4 - Kivu Serena

Drive to Gisenyi holiday resort town, Lunch at Kivu Serena hotel, A drive around Gisenyi town with its beautiful colonial houses and heavily flowered gardens, Dinner and overnight at Kivu Serena or similar.

Day 5 - Kivu Serena

After breakfast relaxation at Kivu beach visit warm water near Bralirwa and Small Island in Lakes Kivu then lunch at hotel dinner and overnight stay at Kivu Serena or similar.

Day 6 - Burundi

Head to Burundi, cross the Rwanda / Burundi border post at Bugarama, and drive on to Bujumbura city. Overnight at Amahoro Hotel or similar.

Day 7 - Bujumbura

Morning after breakfast tour of Bujumbura, Visit of some local people of Bujumbura to learn about daily work, life, visit of Belvedere Top Hill offering a nice view of Bujumbura city,Independance hero monument. Lunch at the Hotel or in Cozy restaurant of the City. After lunch, we take the direction to Mwaro Town: Visit of Agasumo ka Mwaro "Mwaro Waterfalls" a place where Burundians were worshipping their God "Kiranga" before Christianity. Dinner and Overnight at Hotel ITEKA

Day 8 - Nile

After breakfast our trip continues to Source of Nile, and then Karera waterfalls .On our route, magnificent tea plantations and landscapes will make you carry your camera ready for pictures. After karera waterfalls, drive to Gitega, the second town and colonial capital of Burundi. Visit of Gitega National Museum with its collection of artefacts, Gitega city administrative offices, Catholic location of Mushasha and its different schools, Lunch at Gitega, visit the national museum. Dinner and Overnight at Helena Hotel/Orange Hotel.

Day 9 - Community Tour - Drum sanctuary - King Palace

After breakfast visit of the local people Batwa "pygmies" and learn about their way of life. Most of batwa community is living of potery, since Hunting is almost inexistent nowadays in Burundi.
Gishora is one of the famous drum sites of Burundi. Gishora is perched on the top of a hill at 7km from the urban centre of Gitega the site of Gishora also houses two ritual drums that were never beaten: Ruciteme (the one for whom we clear the forest) and Murimirwa (the one for whom we cultivate). The two names are intimately linked to the farming vocation and refer clearly to the fertility, characteristic of the king. We have also ordinary drums which the Batimbo could beat on special occasions of the country. Transfer to Bujumbura city. Overnight at Amahoro Hotel or similar.

Day 10 - Rwanda

Drive to Rumonge, visit of Mugara Hot Springs, and the Mvugo Fishing Village. Lunch at Saga Nyanza Resort enjoying a fresh fish from the Lake. Overnight at Tanganyika Blue Bay Resort.

Day 11 - Burundi

Half day enjoying the beach of Lake Tanganyika at the Hotel, walking/ driving in Rumonge villages, port before heading to Bujumbura. Last day in Bujumbura, shopping some souvenirs. Dinner and overnight at Amahoro Hotel or similar.

Day 12 - Burundi

Airport Transfer-End of the Tour.
