Sydney has a temperate climate with warm summers and cool winters, and rainfall spread throughout the year.
Suitable Visiting Seasons ( months) : The best time to visit Sydney is in spring and autumn, especially around March-April or October and November.
Transportation
Sydney has a large and well run Government public transport system. Mostly the locals prefer to commute by car through the system of roads and motorways. There are excellent train and bus networks that cover all the areas of the city and are the main modes for the tourists to travel around. Taking a City Circle train, the Monorail or walking is the best way of seeing city attractions, while there are ferries available all around which are not expensive. You can also hire a taxi during your stay in Sydney, but they are little expensive but the most comfortable to travel by.
Getting Around : The Kingsford Smith Airport is the main international and domestic airport of Sydney. It daily operates several international as well as domestic flights. Reaching the city by air is the best choice as it is fast and convenient. There are several inter-state buses available also which are cheap and comfortable. You can travel by these buses which connect main cities of the country to Sydney.
Shopping and Entertainment
Sydney is a shopper's paradise as it offers a unique and comprehensive shopping experience. The city has plenty shopping complexes and up-markets near the Pitt Street Mall, Market Street and King Street. Entertainment : Sydney hosts some of the Australia's greatest cultural as well as social events. The major ones include the Sydney Festival, the Biennale of Sydney Tropfest and Flickerfest, Mardi Gras Parade and many more. You can participate also and become a part of Australia's rich cultural heritage. Nightlife is the first thing that comes to mind when talked about entertainment in the beautiful city of Australia, Sydney. Sydney has an active and exuberant nightlife. There are several cafes, bars and clubs which play live music or stand-up comedies. The famous hangouts for nights are located near the Oxford Street, Darling harbor, Hyde Park and Taylor Square. Kings Cross is the traditional red light area with bars, clubs etc.
