Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Gya Lato Dat - Tsokar - Trek

  Travel from Delhi to Leh by air. The early morning flight from Delhi gets to Leh in less than two hours. From the airport guests would be transferred to city hotel / Guest House. Leh is at an altitude of 3500 mts. And all guests are advised to rest for the entire day. A successful trek in Ladakh requires you to acclimatize well.

• Day 2 : Thicksey

  Visit in the day the monasteries of Shey. Thicksey and Hemis. Overnight Leh.

• Day 3 : Visit Alchi

  Phyang Likir and Spituk monasteries. Overnight Leh.

• Day 4 : Leh to Gya-Lato, 75 km

  Thicksey and Hemis monasteries, camping site is nearby small village with few house in between cliff on one side and the barren mountain on the other side (3900m). The scenery of the valley, the cool breeze prepares the m glacier and the whispering of the stream prepares the mind and bodies to appreciate the beauty of the nature for the next 10 days.

• Day 5 : Lato to Lalung pass base camp 6 hours

  Six hour trekking, ascends and encamp at the base camp of the Lalung pass (4800m), beautiful overhead view of snowy peak.

• Day 6 : Lalung base camp to Nirmaling, 7 hour

  Seven hours trekking, crossing Lalung-la ( 5200m), and camp on the camping ground in Nimaling (4500m).

• Day 7 : Nimaling to Langthangchan,6 hours

  Six hours trekking, up and along the stream. Crossing the bridge of Thachungtse and to to left near upper Hankar. After crossing two times river arrives at green pasture with shepherds grazing sheep. Encamp at (4000m).

  • Themes : Trekking

• Day 8 : Langthangchan to Kharnak, 7 hours

  Seven hours trekking through, the valley and crossing the Zalung karpo-la (5200m), from the top a gorgeous view of Zanskar range and glacier. Encamp at (4000m), nearby Kharnak village. A beautiful view Kharnak palace from the campsite.

• Day 9 : Kharnak to Sorra, 7 hours

  Seven hours easy trekking, along the Kharnak stream which Kunik and Khar stream from the left side, few river crossing and arrives at the most exciting place as the whole trek, Leh trinity junction, represented by left valley along the clear water stream, through the trees up to the Sora village and encamp at ( 4200m).

• Day 10 : Sorra to Datt, 6 hours

  Six hours trekking through the trees along the stream up to Datt village, encamp at (4200m).

  • Themes : Trekking

• Day 11 : Datt to Spangchen, 8 hours

  Eight hours trekking through the wilderness and pasture, crossing Tarla pass( 4900m). the source of water for six hours of trek is only a hidden spring before Yarla pass wild ass, yak and nomad are seen. Encamp at (4500m), on a green ground.

• Day 12 : Spangchen to Spangmur, 7 hours

  Seven hours trekking, up and down through the wilderness and encamp at ( 4200m).

  • Themes : Trekking

• Day 13 : Spangmur to Tsokar, 7 hours

  Seven hours easy trekking up and down through a green valley, crossing the line of control for grazing between Kharnak and Rupshu and encamp at (4800m). beautiful view of the lake and Thukje Gompa far on the other side and the village Nuruchen on the right side. The wild as can be seen grazing on the pastures on the right of the lake.

  • Themes : Hill Stations & Valleys, Trekking

• Day 14 : Tsokar to Leh 140 km, ( or Extension trip to Tsomoriri by jeep)

  Tsokar to Leh takes 4 hrs drive through pass of Taklangla 5380 meters of altitude. You see some amazing landscape enroute to Leh. Overnight Leh.
