Himalayan Foothills - Trek to Triund & Laka Glacier - 3 days / 2 nights
Steep ascent through mixed forest of oak, rhododendron and cedar trees takes us to Triund, an alpine meadow situated on top of a ridge. From Triund we have beautiful views of the peaks of Dhauladhar on one side and Kangra valley on the other. Night stay in tents.
Steep ascent for about an hour takes us to Khabrotu from where we do a side walk to kunal Pathari temple offering amazing views on both sides of the ridge. Walk upto Laka glacier and then walk back to Triund for overnight stay in tents. Laka got is situated at the snout of Laka Glacier which starts receding after the month of June. During post monsoon period (Sep to Dec) the glacier melts away and there is hardly any snow. From March to June the glacier is full of snow.
On the way back we take a different route descending over a grassy ridge to Laheta village and then down to waterfall near Bhagsu Nag. Trek Ends.
