Day wise Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrival at Bagdogra - Gangtok

In the morning, board your flight for Bagdogra. On arrival, you will be received by a MakeMyTrip representative who will transfer you to your hotel in Gangtok (5500 feet /1677 metres, 130 kilometers/ 5 hours.) Upon arrival, check in at the hotel. Enjoy a comfortable stay overnight at the hotel in Bagdogra.

Day 2 : Gangtok

After breakfast, go for an excursion to Tshangu Lake. Situated at a height of 12400 feet/3780 metres, it takes 43 kilometers/3 hours to reach the place. The cool water of the lake is perfectly attuned with the scenic beauty around.
Note: High Mountains sightseeing like Tshangu Lake has to start early in the morning so that you can come back early.
Further 10kms from Tshangu Lake on lays the legendary Baba Mandir.
Baba Mandir:at an altitude of over 13,000 feet. It was built in memory of a soldier in the 23rd Punjab Regiment, who drowned in a stream near the spot. Legend says he later appeared in a dream to one of his colleagues where he requested that a temple be built in his memory.
Return back to hotel in the evening. Overnight at hotel.

Day 3 : Gangtok - Lachung(125 kilometers / 6 hours)

After breakfast, check out of the hotel at Gangtok and proceed to Lachung. On the way, visit Tashi view point, Kabi Longtsok, Seven Sisters Waterfall and Singhik View Point. Stop for lunch in between, which will be on direct payment basis. Arrive in the evening at Lachung. Check-in to the hotel. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Note :In Lachung, tourists will get only basic facilities in hotels and we recommend not to expect any luxury as both are very remote areas. Power cuts, phone network problems are very frequent. Also, heater is available at hotel on direct payment basis only.

Day 4 : Lachung - Yumthang - Lachung (25 kms / 1 hour 30 minutes way ) Gangtok (125 km / 6 hrs )

Early morning after breakfast, proceed for a half-day excursion to Yumthang Valley.On the way, visit the hot Spring and Singba Rhododendron Sanctuary. Return to the hotel. After lunch at the hotel, get transferred to Gangtok. On the way, see Bhim Nala waterfall and Twin waterfall. In the evening, arrive at Gangtok and check in to the hotel. Spend the evening at leisure. Enjoy a comfortable stay overnight at the hotel in Gangtok.

Day 5 : Gangtok - Darjeeling (125 kilometers / 5 hours)

After breakfast, proceed for a half-day sightseeing tour to Jhakri Water Falls (4 hours,) Droul Chorthen, Research Institute of Tibetology (Visiting hour: from 10 am - 4 pm; closed on Sunday), Directorate of Handicraft and Handloom (closed on Sunday) and Flower Show (closed on Sunday). In the afternoon, transfer to Darjeeling (7380 Ft / 2250 Mts, 125 Kms / 05 Hours). Upon arrival at Darjeeling, check into your hotel and enjoy a comfortable overnight stay.

Day 6 : Darjeeling

Visit Tiger Hill early in the morning to see the sun rise over Mount Everest, the highest mountain peak in the world. (Subject to clear weather). On your way back, stop at the Ghoom Monastery, the holiest monastery in Darjeeling and Batasia Loop. After your visit, return to hotel for breakfast. After breakfast, you will be driven to Japanese Temple, Peace pagoda, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (closed on Thursdays) Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park (closed on Thursdays). Later, visit the Tibetan refugee help center (closed on Sundays). Evening return to your hotel or walk around the streets of the colonial city Darjeeling. Enjoy a comfortable stay at the hotel.

And the same is applicable to the permit for Lachung in North Sikkim On arrival in Gangtok (the capital of Sikkim) guest will be dropped at the local stand outside main city where the local taxis will be arranged to transfer guest to their booked hotel. Traffic system in Gangtok is very strict compare to other cities to avoid unnecessary traffic jams on road. Large vehicle (i.e. coach, Sumo) are not allowed to enter city between 8 am to 6 pm therefore local taxis such as Maruti Van are used to tranship the guests to the hotel (only 04 people can accommodate in one van) In Lachung & Pelling tourists will get only basic facilities in hotels and we recommend not to expect any luxury as both are very remote areas Transportation will not be provided for personal use like shopping, restaurant use etc. Vehicle will be provided as per itinerary for sightseeing and intercity transfers only
