Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrival Chennai

  Upon arrival you will be welcomed by our representative at the airport and transferred to your Hotel.
  
  Night stay in Chennai.

• Day 2 : Chennai -Kanchipuram – Mahaballipuram (By road/140 Kms/3 Hrs)

  After breakfast, drive to Mahabalipuram. En-route visit Kanchipuram, the city of a thousand temples and one of the seven sacred cities of Hindus. Later proceed to Mahabalipuram, on arrival check in to the hotel.
  
  Night stay in Mahabalipuram.

• Day 3 : Mahabalipuram

  After Breakfast, visit to Mahabalipuram, the city of temple (Earlier known as Mamallapuram). After breakfast proceed for sightseeing tour, where the Pallavas have created many monuments with sculptural panels, caves, monolithic Rathas (Chariot) and Temples. Rest of the evening is at leisure.
  
  Night stay in Mamallapuram.

• Day 4 : Mahabalipuram - Pondicherry (By road /100 Kms/2.5 Hrs)

  After breakfast travel to Pondicherry, on arrival check in to the hotel. In this city, many battles were fought between British and French. Upon arrival, check in at Hotel.

• Day 5 : Pondicherry

  After Breakfast, visit to Sir Aurobindo's Ashram. The ashram was set up in the year 1926 by Sri Aurbindo Ghose. His philosophy is derived in a combination of yoga and modern science. Rest of the day is free to relax and pursue independent activities.

• Day 6 : Pondicherry - Chidambaram - Thanjavur (By road 175Kms/04 Hrs)

  After Breakfast, drive to Thanjavur, en-route visit Chidambaram known for its beautiful temple dedicated to the Lord Nataraja. Later visit the Gangai Konda Cholapuram for its rich, beautiful and intricately carved Chola style sculptures on the walls.
  
  Night stay in Thanjavur.

• Day 7 : Thanjavur

  After breakfast, you have a sightseeing tour of the city which is also known as the Granary of the South India. Thanjavur has a rich and varied heritage, which is renowned across the globe. It is also famous for its ancient handicrafts-making of bronze icons, Thanjavur art plates, bell-metal castings and bowls.
  Night stay in Thanjavur.

• Day 8 : Thanjavur - Trichy - Madurai (By road /190 Kms/04 Hrs)

  After Breakfast, drive to Madurai .on the way enjoy visit to the historical city of Tiruchirappalli, popularly known as Trichy. Proceed for sightseeing tour of the city visiting Rock Fort, Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple and Sri Jambukeshwara Temple. Later drive to Madurai.

• Day 9 : Madurai - Periyar National Park (By road /150 Kms/03 Hrs)

  After breakfast proceed for sightseeing tour of Madurai.
  
  Visit a magnificent Meenakshi Temple and experience stunning architecture.

  Later drive to Periyar, forest of Thekkady is one of the finest wildlife reserves in. Check in the hotel.

• Day 10 : Periyar National Park

  After breakfast explore the Periyar wildlife sanctuary on the boat.
  
  This afternoon take a spice plantation tour to see crops of cardamom, cinnamon, pepper, coffee and tea estates. On your way back you could stop at the local market and pick up some fragrant spices.
  
  Night stay in Periyar National Park.

• Day 11 : Periyar National Park - Kumarakom (By road/130 Kms/ 03Hrs)

  After breakfast, you will be drive to Kumarakom On arrival, check in at hotel. Kumarakom is also one of the enchanting backwater regions of Kerala. Visit Kumarakom bird sanctuary located on the banks of the backwaters.
  
  Night stay in Kumarakom.

• Day 12 : Karmarkar

  Today you will board the houseboat, from Karmarkar to Kumarakom. While sailing down a maze of canals one sees different scenes from the villages, paddy fields, coconut palms, fisherman and local life.

• Day 13 : Kumarakom - Kovalam (By road /180 Kms/04 Hours)

  After breakfast drive to Kovalam. Upon arrival, check in to the resort with rest of the day free for your own activities. Walk along the beach to enjoy the scene of the waves.
