Climate & Geography
The Reunion has a temperate climate and the temperature becomes moderate as areas of elevation are reached. The period between May and November is cool the rains occur in the period between November and April. Rainfall is measured at more than 6 meters at a few places and less than 1 meter at a few others.
The highest point in Reunion is the Piton des Neiges volcano and it measures at 3,070 meters (10,070 feet). There are lots of volcanic mountains and they are kept under constant monitoring.
The two major ports of Le Port and Pointe des Galets provide the means of transportation by sea. The highways and airways also provide good transportation services.
