The Cradle of Humankind is located at Gauteng, South Africa and consists of a dozen limestone caves. Blessed with fossils of various species of plants and animals, the caves are a treasure island for the tourists with an archaeological bent of mind. The caves began as coral reefs some 2.3 billion years ago. The privately owned caves cover approximately 47,000 hectares.
