Beach tours have been a magnet for of every travel-aficionado. Beach tour totally refreshes one's body and mind. Usually people don't consider the safety measures during fun-time, but this way they invite unpleasant incidents. So better to follow below mentioned beach safety tips so that you enjoy your trip pleasantly and stay safe.


CONSIDER THE TIME

  1. Avoid visiting beach site between 10 A.M to 4 P.M as the sun is strongest between these timings.
  2. Try to visit early morning or late afternoon to enjoy it more.
  3. You can enjoy the fun of sunset and day end at beach spot.
  4. If you planned to spend whole day to enjoy at beach, do take proper shade breaks to avoid sunburn.

BE CAUTIOUS OF THE SNEAKER WAVE

  1. Always beware of unexpected sneaker waves while being on beach site. Sneaker waves come all of a sudden with baneful force and can cause damage to beach area.
  2. Avoid turning your back on the ocean to get prevented from sneaker waves.

BEWARE OF LOGS

  1. Beware of big or small logs present inside ocean as it running waves can flump down those logs on top of you.
  2. Always stay away from logs present on wet sand or inside beach surfing area.

RIP CURRENTS

  1. Beware of strong rip currents as these strong waves can easily take even the expert swimmers off their feet and out to sea.
  2. If you see debris and foam floating out of sea, chances are there that it's a rip current.
  3. If caught in rip current try to swim parallel to the beach until you find escape from rip current, try to swim towards beach.

BE IN REACH OF A LIFEGUARD

  1. Lifeguards are trained professionals to prevent you from all beach emergencies.
  2. Never swim at areas which are secluded and unprotected with lifeguards. Those area may have covered up dangers such as sudden drop offs, weeds, sea creatures and currents.
  3. Always swim inside flagged area of the beach.

AVOID ALCOHOL INTAKE

  1. Avoid having alcohol while swimming on beach sites. Almost 50 percent catastrophic injuries happen because of alcohol intake while swimming.
  2. Alcohol can hamper your judgmental senses and balance and could impair your ability to stay warm. This in turn can lead to serious injuries or death.

APPLY SUNSCREEN LOTION

  1. Always apply sunscreen lotion on all body parts while being on the beachside. Use ample amount of water resistant sunscreen with at least SPF of 15 all over. Sunscreen is must for skin safety as it protects your skin from harmful Ultra Violet (UV) rays and sun's glare.
  2. Do apply sunscreen lotion over top of your feet as well.
  3. Prefer to apply sunscreen lotion 30 minutes before heading at exposed beach areas and while beach bathing.
  4. If you are active beach swimmer then you should apply sunscreen after every 2 hours to prevent sunburn.

WEAR UV PROTECTED SUNGLASSES

  1. Opt to wear Ultra Violet (UV) protected sunglasses to protect your eyes from harmful sun rays and glare.

REST UNDER UMBRELLA

  1. Prefer resting or sitting under beach umbrella to protect your skin from sunburn. Beach umbrellas provide sufficient shade to cover your body.
  2. Opt for sun umbrellas woven of sun protective fabric which are capable enough to provide minimum SPF 35.
