Foot Protection
Home Travel Guide Foot Protection
You may misstep upon stones or pebbles on rocky shorelines and hurt yourself at beachside. To avoid such a mishap, always wear protective foot protection and footwear to avert burns, cuts, poisonous stings and other risks. Aquatic footwear is considered beneficial from safety point of view as it increases the friction coefficient of the foot to bottom surface. Therefore, before choosing aquatic footwear do keep some tips in mind :-
- Do wear foot protection like sandals and shoes on stony, pebbly or uneven hot sand beaches to avoid foot injuries. Proper footwear can give extra protection while jumping movement or balancing inside the water.
- Always brush off dry sand and rinse off sandy feet for extra foot protection.
- Consider swimming flippers with blade as well as foot wear structure to protect feet from serious injury and to facilitate safe underwater movement.
- Make sure your children wear safe and proper foot protection while being inside the water. They should wear aqua socks or water shoes to safeguard themselves from any kind of serious foot injury caused by aquatic creatures or stones inside the water.
- Prefer buying footwear which can wick moisture away and inhibit odor and fungus with proper air passage.
- Try non impact aqua shoes for extra foot protection while swimming. Aquatic shoes include vents and fins to achieve 2 to 3x cardiovascular intensity as compared to running with bare feet. Aqua shoes protect the foot by being safe and comfortable and these shoes don't hurt the knees while swimming.
- While doing aquatic exercises do remember to wear proper footwear to provide comfortable and safe support to avoid slippage and prevents foot injuries.
- Aquatic resistant boots can be worn by athletes or workout freaks for lower extremity exercises. These boots include vents and folds to create upheaval as per the motion of the foot.
Foot protection should be always worn to eradicate the possibility of getting hurt by glass, any sharp-edged cracked shells, by any sea creatures or by any sharp object. Wear swim footwear, aqua shoes or flat sandals at beaches. |
