The various languages spoken in the district are Dogri-Kangri, Gaddi-Bharmouri, and Chamba (Chambiali Language), which is different in different teh/towns of Chamba such as Pangi, Churah, Teesha. Gaddi Language is spoken by the natives who reside in the Bharmour tehshil.
Though Chambiali Language is the main language spoken by the people who live in Chamba, but the language could also be heard in regions located near to the district. The two other languages spoken by the people in Chamba are Pangwalli, and Churahi.
According to the 2011 census, Chamba district houses a total population of 518,844 people. The sex ratio in the district is 989 females over 1000 males.
Chamba is located in the north-western district of Himachal Pradesh. The two towns, Dalhousie and Khajjhiar located in the district are some of the most sought after travel destinations in India. The district havens high mountain ranges and also stashes many century old relics.
