Bhutan is situated in the eastern Himalayas between two global giants, China in the north and India in the south. The country encompasses an area of 38,394 sq.km with a population of just over seven hundred thousand as of February, 2017. The name Bhutan appears to have originated from the world "Bhu-uttan” meaning “high land” in Sanskrit. Though the country is widely and internationally known by the name Bhutan, the Bhutanese people still takes immense pride in referring their country as “Druk Yul" or "The Land of Thunder Dragon".

Day 1 : Phuentsholing – Thimpu
Meet & Greet on arrival at Phuentsholing - The Gateway of Bhutan by Road from India. It is a thriving commercial centre on the northern fringe of the Indian Plains. After completing the immigration formalities proceed to Thimphu (7,710 ft.) the capital city of Bhutan. On arrival check in to the hotel. In the evening, visit the Tashichho Dzong (Fortress of the Glorious Religion). Stay overnight at Thimphu.
Day 2 : Thimphu Sightseeing – Paro
After breakfast visit Kuensel Phodrang (Buddha Statue) a place of spirituality for the devotees, with a huge statue of Buddha on top of the Kuensel Phodrang, National Memorial Chorten (Monument) - and Folk Heritage Museum, drive to Paro. On the way visit the Tamchog Lhakhang – It is situated between Thimphu and Paro and it was built in the 13th century by Thangthong Gyalpo. He is also known as the Iron bridge builder, situated on a hill top, one has to cross an ancient style bridge to reach the temple. On arrival at Paro, check in to the hotel. In the Afternoon you may visit Ta Dzong - National Museum with an excellent collection of arts, relics, religious thangkha, etc. Rinpung Dzong - Meaning "fortress of the heap of jewels". The Dzong now serves as the administrative and judicial seat of Paro. Stay overnight at Paro.
Day 3 : Paro – Sightseeing
After breakfast visit Drukgyel Dzong, also visit the famous Taktsang Monastery - called Tiger's Nest (2 hrs. hike from the base camp) & Kyichu Monastery. Enjoy the rest of the evening and stay overnight at Paro.
Day 4 : Paro to Phuentsholing
After breakfast check out from the hotel and say good bye to the visit of Bhutan and reach Phuentsholing for your onward journey.
