Ghorepani Poon Hill Trekking is a short tea house trek in Annapurna Region. Ghorepani is a village in Myagdi District in the north central Nepal and Poon Hill (3210m/10531ft) a famous place highly popular to view the sunrise.
The trekking to Ghorepani Poon Hill is also considered as a Gateway to the Annapurna as well as central areas of trading route in ancient days. Starting from Nayapul this trek commence along the shore of Modi Khola and ascends until it reaches Ghorepani. This trek encompasses picturesque scenery, rhododendron forests, streams, high passes as well as which spectacular view of Annapurna (8,091m) and Dhaulagiri (8,167m) ranges. This region is protected by the Annapurna Sanctuary protecting various wild flora and fauna. The lively villages are home of the Gurung and Magar communities bonded with vibrant culture and warm hospitality. The trek to nearby popular area of Ghandruk adds a great charm to this trekking. Ghorepani comes through the trail that reaches to Annapurna Base Camp.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrival Day

  Your Arrival day, Pick up from Airport, check into a hotel, Programme Briefing and Take a rest.

• Day 2 : Kathmandu

  Guided Full day sightseeing of Kathmandu Valley including Swoyambhunath, Bouddhanath Swoyambhunath, Pashupatinath and Kathmandu Durbar square.

• Day 3 : Pokhara

  Ready at hotel lobby before 2 hrs of flight to Pokhara and with guide/porter Fly to Pokhara (PKR)(25 min.),and drive to Nayapul( 2 hrs more or less) and starting your trek from Tikhedhunga.

• Day 4 : Ghorepani

  Trek to Ghorepani (2855 m) with picturesque scenery, through Oak and rhododendron forest, terrace field with a typical ethnic village and stay in a lodge at Ghorepani.

• Day 5 : Hill Station

  little before dawn Climb to Poon c for great views of Himalayas and trek to Tadapani (2595 m).This is highest point on the Ghorepani poon hill trek.

• Day 6 : Ghandruk Via Ethnic Village

  Trek to Ghandruk via ethnic village Of Magars and Gurungs, trek back to Nayapul and drive back to Pokhara, stay Hotel in Pokhara.

• Day 7 : Lakeside Pokhara

  Early morning catching tourist bus near lakeside Pokhara, Drive back to Kathmandu(6 hrs more or less) join Nepali dinner and cultural show at night.

• Day 8 : Departure

  Final departure to onward destination, transfer to the airport, time to say goodbye.
