This river has been declared a Wild and Scenic River, and offers some of the finest white water in Latin America, providing the adventurous rafter with a ride of unbelievable natural beauty as it winds deep inside one of Costa Rica's most impressive primordial rainforests. You will traverse 20 miles of remote and scenic waters that course through a wilderness of dense vegetation covering the sides of steep gorges that rise above the river banks. Transportation, breakfast, lunch, beverages, all safety equipment and expert tour guide are included in this trip.
Night at the Grano de Oro (B,L)
Pachira Lodge 3 days / 2 nights package
Very early morning pick up for the drive through the Braulio Carrillo National Park to the canals lining the Atlantic Coast, where the boat trip to Tortuguero starts. A typical breakfast is served on the way. Arrive at the lodge for lunch. The lodge will then schedule a tour to the village in the afternoon. This tour will provide detailed information on its history, culture and work in favor of conservation of the sea turtles and the flora and fauna in general. A visit to the Sea Museum of the "Caribbean Conservation Corporation" is also included.
Night at Pachira Lodge, Standard Room (B,L,D)
After breakfast guests will enjoy the boat tours along the canals of Tortuguero. Visit the canals within the National park to discover a large variety of birds and receive detailed information on the flora and fauna of the area. Return to the lodge for lunch. Afterwards take an optional hiking trip to the Hill of Tortuguero. It provides impressive views on the whole valley of Tortuguero and from the trail it is easy to discover its different species of inhabitants among which are three different kinds of monkeys, sloths, caimans, turtles, iguanas, poison arrow frogs and many birds and insects including the blue butterfly (Morpho peleides)
Night at Pachira Lodge (B,L,D)
Depart after breakfast for your return to the docks of Limón, an opportunity to recount your adventures in memory or on paper. On the way back there is a stop for lunch, where our driver will meet you and will provide private transfer to the Arenal Volcano area. Duration 3 hours

Canyoning Tour
This is a unique, multi-sport adventure that combines rappelling, down-climbing and river tracing in a deep, tropical canyon. Imagine yourself in the midst of thick rainforest at the top of a magical canyon full of tropical waterfalls with surprises each step of the way.
Prepare to get wet! Your guides will start off with a thorough safety talk to explain important rappelling and down-climbing techniques. You will be provided high-quality technical climbing gear such as a harness, helmet, gloves and you will get to practice your first descent on a mini 15-ft waterfall, just to get the hang of things.
Make your way along the river bed by down-climbing and rappelling a series of about six waterfalls that get gradually bigger and… BIGGER! We save the best waterfall for last… you’ll finish with a 200ft-guided rappel at the end!
Afternoon to relax in the hot springs!

This morning service is on a minivan - boat - minivan transfer, a scenic ride through the Arenal Lake to Monteverde Cloud forest area. Duration 2 1/2 hours
Arenal Lake is the largest and the most important lake in Costa Rica, it was man made in 1974 to provide hydroelectric energy for the country. It is also a place where you can find different kinds of resident and migratory birds. Sometimes mammals can be seen in the surroundings, also great views of the Arenal Volcano when it's clear. The Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve is one of the most outstanding wild life sanctuaries in the tropics. This high elevation rain forest offers miles of trails with excellent opportunities for bird watching.

Sky Tram and Sky Trek Tour
Sky Tram is a guided tour and you can have the opportunity of intermediate the ride with short stops to observe the cloud forest biodiversity, the Arenal, Tenorio, Miravalles and Orosi volcanoes, the Nicoya Gulf, and the Guanacaste plain if the weather allows it. It is a high technology cableway that includes a ride of 1600 meters (both ways) with altitudes between 1400 and 1600 m.a.s.l. The Sky Tram will lead you up to the Continental Divide and to one of the highest mountains of Monteverde. The gondolas have been adapted even for people with some disability. Sky Trek tour starts with the Sky Tram that will lead you up to the Continental Divide. Sky trek is a system of zip lines ranging from mountain to mountain, which together have a distance of 2.5 miles of linear cable. It gives you the opportunity to fly through a cable and have a unique experience of adventure and adrenaline at speeds up to 40 miles per hour with distances ranging up to 2500 feet and heights of 524 feet. In addition the tour offers 5 observation towers that exceed the cloud forest treetops providing a panoramic view. All with total security and in an innovative braking system.
Sky Trek is a complementary tour of Sky Tram it can’t be sold separately.

Both nature and beach lovers will find plenty here to fill their days. Tamarindo is famous for its stunning beaches, its marine national park and wildlife refuge. This area encompasses beaches that attract one of the largest leatherback turtle populations in the world. Peak nesting seasons in the area are October through January. Due to its constant waves, it is also one of the favorite places for surfers.

Mr. Oswald a half German, half Tico, decided to immigrate to Costa Rica in the early 1950’s in search of a more peaceful place to live, yet he found more… great nature, great weather and love! He got married with a Tica and started his own business in downtown San Jose importing motorcycles such as BMW, Norton, Triumph, BSA and Horex. Later he continue his venture in his motorcycle, riding the unwinding roads of Central America and around the United States, only with the company of his bike, exploring cultures and searching for new ideas, a free spirit, he was able to ride the entire American continent enjoying the most wonderful scenery. He participated in rallies throughout the United States such as the BMWMOA among others being his last race at age 82.
