Comprising of two contrasting yet harmonious parts, the Old Delhi and New Delhi, the city is a travel hub of Northern India.

Delhi is a palimpsest, bearing the complexities, the contradictions, the beauty and the dynamism of a city where the past coexists with the present. Many dynasties ruled from here and the city is rich in the architecture of its monuments. Diverse cultural elements absorbed into the daily life of the city, have enriched its character.

Neemrana: Neemrana is an ancient town with unmatched scenic beauty. At this place you will come across the 14th century hill fort that was ruled by the Chauhans. You will get a feel of the past glory and grandeur since it was a place under the rule of the royal figures.
It was a tributary (chieftainship) of the former Alwar State. The region is sandy and bleak and is known as Raath. The place is said to be the home of chauhan Rajputs claiming descent from Prithvi Raj the last Hindu emperor. It is reputed to have been built by the Yaduvanshis, descendants of Lord Krishna, who converted to Islam in the mid-14th century to be called Khanzadas. It subsequently changed hands, being conquered by the Mughals and the Jats before reverting to the Rajputs in 1775 when the princely state of Alwar was founded.

Later in this day you will visti Neemrana Fort, the major landmark of this town. The Neemrana Fort, was built by Maharaja Devi Singhji and this particular place has derived its name from the gallant local chieftain Nimola Meo. There is an interesting incident behind the name of the fort. While fighting with the Chauhans he was overthrown and he made a humble plea for naming his lost kingdom after his name. This fort is an architectural marvel of Rajasthan and one of the oldest too.

The inaccessibility and hostility of the topography lends a semblance of invincibility to the fort. It served the rulers of Mewar as a refuge in times of strife.
