Experience rail travel across Alaska at our best rate. Adventure Class cars offer comfortable seating and large picture windows. Open-air vestibules between railcars provide an opportunity for fresh air and excellent photo ops. Adventure Class guests are encouraged to travel between railcars, whether to take advantage of the open seating in our Vista Dome cars or visit the Wilderness Cafe.

GoldStar Pricing:
The Alaska Railroad's premium class of service offers passengers an exceptional way to travel across Alaska. Glass-dome ceilings allow for panoramic views as Alaska unfolds along the tracks, and an outdoor, upper-level viewing platform - the only of its kind in the world - offers fresh air and an excellent vantage point for photos. On the lower level of GoldStar railcars, passengers enjoy a full-service dining room; GoldStar tickets include meals, all soft beverages and two complimentary adult beverages per trip for passengers over 21.

Please Note: Minimum of 2 passengers required to book. Prices are per person, based on double occupancy. Package prices may vary from the published rates with hotel and tour selections. All prices are subject to change without notice.
Baggage service is available. Each ticketed passenger may check two pieces of luggage. The luggage weight limit is 50 pounds per bag. The baggage fee for bikes, excess, oversized, and overweight bags is .00 per item. One carry-on item is allowed per person. Carry-on bags may not exceed 15" x 14" x 6". Please remember to carry on medications, cameras or other items that you will need during your train ride.
Tours that are canceled between 36 and 59 days before travel are subject to a 50% cancellation fee. No refunds will be issued for cancellations less than 35 days before travel. Cancellations made more than 60 days before travel will be refunded 90% of the booking value.
Day 1 :
Arrive in Anchorage, Alaska's largest city. Book an excursion, or explore shops, museums and restaurants at your leisure. Overnight in Anchorage.
Day 2 :
Depart on the Glacier Discovery Train for the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center, home to bears, moose and more. Continue on to the Spencer Glacier Whistle Stop, where you'll raft amid icebergs in full view of Spencer Glacier. Travel to Girdwood and overnight at the Hotel Alyeska.
Day 3 :
Enjoy spectacular views of backcountry glaciers aboard the Coastal Classic Train to the charming port town of Seward. Travel by boat to your home for the evening: the island getaway of the Kenai Fjords Wilderness Lodge.
Day 4 :
Watch for wildlife and glaciers aboard a day cruise of stunning Resurrection Bay. Upon your return to Seward, board the Coastal Classic Train for a late evening arrival into Anchorage.
Day 5 :
Travel to Denali National Park aboard the Denali Star Train. This scenic, full-day trip from Anchorage offers chances for views of Denali along with wildlife and backcountry beauty. The late afternoon arrival at the Park leaves time for exploration. Overnight in Denali.
Day 6 :
Watch for wildlife and incredible views as you travel 92 miles into the farthest reaches of the Park on the famed Park Road. Spend the night at the Denali Backcountry Lodge.
Day 7 :
This day is completely dedicated to enjoying the Denali backcountry, with options to hike, pan for gold, fish for grayling, mountain bike or just relax. Overnight at the Denali Backcountry Lodge.
Day 8 :
After a hearty breakfast, guests return to the Denali Train Depot for the short train trip to Talkeetna. This funky little village is known for its spectacular views of Denali. Arrive late in the afternoon and stretch your legs with a guided hike, spotting wildlife and learning about old-growth forest.
Day 9 :
In Talkeetna, a jetboat ride takes you deep into the National Wild River Park of Devil's Gorge. Depart on the Denali Star Train for the final leg from Talkeetna to Anchorage, arriving in the evening. Overnight in Anchorage.
