The Tour and experiencing Bhutan will take place in two of the most popular district in Bhutan
known as Paro or Haa.

Paro
It is one of the widest valleys in the kingdom situated in a flat valley bottom and follows a grid-like pattern covered in fertile rice fields and has a beautiful, crystalline river meandering down the valley. Accentuating the natural beauty by the many elegant, traditional-style houses that dot the valley and surrounding hills has it authentic Bhutanese richness. Paro town has been growing rapidly in recent years and there are plenty of restaurants, bakeries and cafes to choose from.

Haa
The Haa valley was opened for the first time to foreign tourists in 2002. It is famous for its cultural richness and animist tradition. Such animist belief however was transformed into peaceful Buddhist tradition in 8th century by Guru Padmasambhava. The valley is also unparalleled in Bhutan in terms of the diversity of the folk culture, legends and shamanistic rituals. The shamanistic traditions is vividly practiced in almost all the communities, most notable of which is the annual ceremony to honor Ap Chundu, the guardian deity of the valley. The valley is also a paradise for nature lovers and travelling there is a very rewarding experience. The drive to Haa valley crosses 3988m Chele-la pass, from where one can have a superb views of Mount Jhomolhari & Jichu Drakey. It is also an ideal place to take short walk, enjoying panoramic vistas.

Day wise Itinerary

  • Day 1 : Arrival at Paro Airport

    The Flight to Paro gives you a breathtaking with views of Major Himalaya peaks such as Everest, Kanchenjunga and Makalu, and Bhutan’s own snowy peaks, the sacred Jhomolhari, Jichu Drake and Tsherimgang on a clear day. As you enter Paro valley, you will sweep past forested hills with the silvery Pa Chu (Paro river) meandering down the valley below. Paro Dzong (fortress) and Ta Dzong (watchtower) on the hills above the town will be a fine sight.

    Upon arrival into Paro, and completing your visa & customs formalities, a representative of Bhutan Entire Season Traveler will be there to receive you with Tashi Khadar as you exit the Airport. Our team will then escort you to your hotel where our dancer will welcome you with a traditional welcome dance (A dance in an honor to welcome we love and please the deity to take a good care of our guest). You will then have lunch at the hotel.

    After Lunch,
    Our team will escort you to visit Paro Ta Dzong, initially the watch tower of Paro Dzong and Valley. It now houses the national museum of Bhutan. Followed by a visit to Rinpung Dzong built in 1645 to defend the valley against Tibetan invaders. The Dzong is now being used as an administration center and school for monks. Then walk down to Rinpung Bridge (Traditional Bridge), oldest bridge in Bhutan where our escort team awaits you. (Dinner and overnight at your hotel)

  • Day 2 : Practice Archery

    After Breakfast,
    You will visit Paro Kyichhu Lhakhang, to offer prayers in Bhutanese tradition. You will be dressed Bhutanese national attire and take incense, butter lamps and few change to offer to the Lhakhang. The Lhakhang is one of the 108 temples built in the 7th century by the Tibetan King Songtsen Gyempo. To overcome the giant demon who was preventing the spread of Buddhism in Himalayan region, 108 similar temples were built by the king on all the points of her body.
    After lunch,
    After that, our team will escort you around Paro town before lunch. You will practice traditional archery along with our team. Our team will teach you all the basic for the tournament. In the evening our team will escort you around the village to get the glimpse of Bhutanese rural life while you will be cooking with our team a Bhutanese meal for the dinner.

  • Day 3 : Perform Rituals for Merits and Clear the Bad Omen For the Next Day Match

    After a tea in the morning,
    You will visit nearby Lhakhang, where our team will arrange the ritual ceremony. It’s a tradition and custom practiced from ancient time that every time we are going to something new, a new baby is born or the tournament is going to be held we always visit Lhakhang and monasteries to perform rituals for the smooth going tournament, clear bad omen and to compile merits. You will then return to your hotel for the breakfast.
    After Breakfast,
    Practice archery till lunch and after lunch practice continues with the orientation on traditional way of playing archery and its celebration.

  • Day 4 : Archery Match

    The day will be different from any other. It is the actual archery match and will be a traditional experience for our guest. The day filled with uniqueness, richness and authentic performance carried out by the local with the guest is something he would cherish and memory to take back.

    The Dancer, who will perform during the matches and at the dinner at the matches

    After the Lunch,
    The match continuous and the match winner will be decided by 2 of 3 round win. The evening is a lot more fun. The people from both the parties will be preparing the dinner. Before dinner both the team will dance along with the dancer and while having a locally brewed wine known an “Ara” at the same time. Ara is one of the strongest wine in Bhutan
    and popular during any events.
    Both the team will have dinner and followed by a Tashi Delek dance. The dance is performed in order to have good ending and welcome a good start filled with luck.

  • Day 5 : Rest Day

    Today is a rest and relaxation day after a tiring one day archery match. However if you wish to

  • Day 6 : Drive to Thimphu

    After Breakfast, Our team will take you to Thimphu and upon reaching you will have a lunch and
    After lunch,
    Visit Trashi Choe Dzong, a fortress of the glorious religion. It was built in 1641 by Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyel and was reconstructed into present structure by the late King, His majesty Jigme Dorji Wangchuck in the year 1962-1969. It houses the secretariat building, the throne room and the office of the king, and the central monk body.
    Then Buddha Dordenma Statue, this massive statue of Buddha Shakyamuni measures in at a height of 51.5 meters, making it one of the largest statues of Buddha in the world. The statue is made of bronze and is gilded in gold. The Buddha Dordenma is located atop a hill in Kuenselphodrang Nature Park and overlooks the Southern entrance to Thimphu Valley.
    Followed by a visit to Thimphu Memorial Chorten, built in the memory of our late 3rd king of Bhutan Jigme Dorji Wangchuck. It is believed that a wished made from deep within heart is being fulfilled. It holds paintings and statues which provide a very rare insight into Buddhist Philosophy. (Overnight at 3 stars Hotel in Thimphu).

  • Day 7 : Thimphu - Punakha

    After breakfast,
    Our team will take you to Punakha, the Ethereal Ancient Capital of Bhutan. Enroute, stop at Dochula Pass (10,100feet). The pass is a popular location among visitors as it offers a stunning 360-degree panoramic view of Bhutanese Himalayan range. The view is especially scenic on clear day with snowcapped mountains forming a majestic backdrop to the tranquility of the 108 Druk Wangyal Chortens gracing the mountain pass.

    Visit the Devine Madman’s Monastery Chimmi Lhakhang, famously known for its fertility shrine, where one can receive a special fertility blessing.
    After Lunch,
    Visit Punakha Dzong, the most spectacular Dzong in Bhutan, built at the confluence of the Mo Chhu (Female River) and Pho Chhu (Male River) in 1637. This huge fortress/monastery was the national capital until 1966 and is the place where the country’s kings have been crowned and the site for the 5th King’s Royal Wedding in Oct. 2011.
    Our team will then escort you for an evening tea which is then followed by a walk or drive to one of the longest suspension bridge in Bhutan.
    Punakha Suspension Bridge known for the 2nd longest suspension bridge in Bhutan. The bridge is perfect for those who wish to get their heart pumping with excitement (Overnight at 3 stars hotel in Punakha)

  • Day 8 : Punakha - Paro

    After Breakfast,
    Our team will take you to Thimphu for a lunch. Enroute, stop at Dochula pass in case if you have missed to take photograph or any scene so that you can once again enjoy it to the fullest.
    After lunch
    Last minute Shopping for gifts or souvenirs you want to take back home for few hours. Then drive to Paro. Enroute visit Tachog Lhakhang Built in the early 15th century by the great iron bridge builder and Poet-Yogi Thangtong Gyalpo (1385-1464), who also built many iron bridges throughout Bhutan and Tibet. The temple is privately run by the descendants of Thangtong Gyalpo. (Overnight at hotel in Paro)

  • Day 9 : Departure

    After Breakfast,
