Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Cochin sightseeing

  Pick up from airport or railway station and drive to Hotel.After refreshing proceed to Cochin sightseeing.
  Cochin is aptly called the Queen of Arabian Sea because of its sheer beauty and elegance. It is the commercial capital of Kerala for centuries though Kings and the present government function from Trivandrum.
  
  Sightseeing :
  Santa Cruz Basilica,
  St. Francis Church,
  Princess Street (Heritage Zone),
  Chinese Fishing Nets,
  Jew Street,
  Jewish Synagogue,
  Mattancherry Dutch Palace,etc.

• Day 2 : Proceed to vaikom

  The Gateway to Kumarakom.
  Vaikom is a tranquil and serene village located on the banks of the famous backwaters that lies 30km from Ernakulam railway station/50km from Cochin airport en-route to Kumarakom (18km) / Alleppey (40km) / Thekkady (123km) / Munnar (125km).
  In and around vaikom sightseeing ( Depends having time)
  Backwater cruise
  Backwater cruise by open country boat through natural narrow canals: This is a relaxing cruise giving an opportunity to enjoy local water lives like fishes, water snakes, shell fishes, tortoises, frogs, etc., and local birds like king fishers, wood peckers, etc. You can see different types of trees, herbal and spice plants. Watch how the people here utilizing natural resources without making any harm to the environment.
  
  Lunch
  Traditional Kerala lunch served in a Banana leaf. Consists of rice, a variety of curries, pappad and followed by Payasam (Sweet Dessert).
  
  Explore Village
  Short walk through the village
  A short walk through the village to understand country side life and get to know about their routine activities like coir making, straw mat weaving, toddy tapping, etc.
  Carry on to your home to come again and again with pleasant memories of the service rendered.
