Arrival to Juan Santamara International Airport
One of our representatives will meet you at the airport baggage area and assist you through customs. We will then provide transfer to your hotel in San Jose for your first night in Costa Rica

After breakfast, private transfer will be provided to Turrialba Valley. Duration 1 hour approx
Conveniently located between San Jose and the Caribbean Coast, we find this lively town bustling with activity and surrounded by fertile farmland and green, mountain pastures. The world renowned Pacuare River attracts many white-water rafters and kayakers.
At night enjoy a new mystical approach to discover the world of coffee!
The tour begins at 5:00P.M. when you are picked up from your Turrialba Area Hotel. Upon arrival to our plantation you will initiate the tour in a trail that has been set up with adequate lightning to provide a safe passage for all our visitors. You will then proceed to learn about the processing of coffee at our coffee mill.
This tour concludes with an interactive coffee cupping session after wich visitors will taste various types of coffee, chocolates and liqueurs at our Golden Bean Factory Store. Upon completion of the visit to the coffee mill, visitors will be transported to the Turrialtico Lodge, where they will enjoy an unforgettale dinner with a beautiful view of the lights of the town of Turrialba.

For this trip, riders are driven to the small town of Atirro, located fifteen minutes from Turrialba. We provide friendly, trained horses that come from high-level stables. Riders will meet in the corral at the stables. A guide will give a description of what riders will do and see during the tour and give a safety talk on the rules and procedures for this horseback riding trip, such as no running with the horses. A guide and a horse expert will accompany the riders for the trip. The horse expert will measure the stirrups and select a horse for each rider.
During the two hour horseback riding trip, riders will pass sugar cane and coffee plantations and a secondary forest. In the forest, the guide will explain the development of secondary forests and the pioneer plants that are being cut down. Riders may see a variety of birds such as, oropendula, black guan, and other animals such as sloth and monkeys. Additionally, the riding tour will take riders to areas with amazing views of the surrounding natural beauty. Riders will stop to take a break and enjoy a scenic lookout, where the whole Turrialba Valley and surrounding mountains can be seen. Riders will climb and descend small hills making a loop through the land. Snacks and refreshments are provided for riders at the end of the trip.

It all started with the passion and commitment of Mr. Oswald von Breymann to adventure.
Mr. Oswald a half German, half Tico, decided to immigrate to Costa Rica in the early 1950’s in search of a more peaceful place to live, yet he found more… great nature, great weather and love! He got married with a Tica and started his own business in downtown San Jose importing motorcycles such as BMW, Norton, Triumph, BSA and Horex. Later he continue his venture in his motorcycle, riding the unwinding roads of Central America and around the United States, only with the company of his bike, exploring cultures and searching for new ideas, a free spirit, he was able to ride the entire American continent enjoying the most wonderful scenery. He participated in rallies throughout the United States such as the BMWMOA among others being his last race at age 82.
