Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrive NJP or Bagdogra – Drive to Darjeeling

  On your arrival NJP railway station or Bagdogra airport our driver will meet and greet you and transfer to Darjeeling.
  Drive to Darjeeling located at a distance of 88 km and 3:00 – 3:30 hour drive. Hill town of Darjeeling is situated at an altitude of 6710 feet. The town was originally set up by British, as a health resort. It produces the world famous Darjeeling tea.
  On your arrival in Darjeeling, check in at the hotel.
  Rest of the day is free. In the evening you can go for a stroll to the town areas.

• Day 2 : Darjeeling - Local Sightseeing

  Breakfast at the hotel.
  Early morning at around 4:00 am drive to Tiger Hill situated at an altitude of 8000 feet. From the observatory at Tiger Hill, view sunrise over Mount Kanchenjunga (subject to clear weather).
  While returning to Darjeeling we visit Ghoom Monastery, Peace memorial and Batasia Loop.
  Breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast we take you for a half day sightseeing of Darjeeling visiting Padmaja Naidu Zoological Park, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (Closed on Thursday), Ropeway, Tensing Gumpo Rock, Tibetan Refugee Self Help Center (Closed on Sunday), Tea Estate, Natural History Museum (Sunday Closed) and Peace Pagoda.
  In the afternoon return back to the hotel. Time free for shopping and buy some famous Darjeeling Tea.

• Day 3 : Darjeeling - Kalimpong

  Have an early breakfast at the hotel.
  After breakfast drive to Kalimpong located at a distance of 75 km and 3 hour drive. Kalimpong is a hill station situated at a height of 4090 feet.
  On your arrival in Kalimpong, check in at the hotel.
  In the afternoon we take you for half day sightseeing tour of Kalimpong visiting Forest Museum (Closed On Thursday), Deolo Hill, Dr Graham Homes, Durbin Monastery, Pine View Nurseries (Cactus Only).
  Evening free to visit the local market.
  Stay overnight at hotel in Kalimpong or at Darjeeling.

• Day 4 : Darjeeling/Kalimpong - Gangtok

  Have an early breakfast at the hotel.
  After breakfast drive to Gangtok located at a distance of 68 km and 3:00 hour drive. Gangtok is capital of Sikkim and is situated at a height of 5500 feet with spectacular views of Mount Kanchenjunga.
  On your arrival in Gangtok, check in at the hotel.
  After Lunch rest of the day is free. In the evening you can go for a stroll to MG Road and Lal Bazar.

• Day 5 : Gangtok Sightseeing

  Breakfast at the hotel.
  After breakfast we take you for half day sightseeing tour of Gangtok visiting:
  Do Drul Chorten -Stupa.
  Research Institute of Tibetology houses a collection of rare Tibetan and Sanskrit manuscripts.
  Govt. Institute of Cottage Industry (a preservation center for traditional arts and crafts of Sikkim).
  Enchey Monastery (a 200 year old monastery).
  Gangtok Ropeway (cover a distance of 1 km in 7 minutes and takes you to the highest point in Gangtok).
  You may also take an optional early morning tour (at extra cost) of Gangtok visiting:
  Tashi View Point 8 kms from the city, one can get magnificent views of Mount Kanchenjunga from here.
  Ganesh Tok located 7 Kms from the city on a ridge, one can see the whole town of Gangtok from here. You can also see Mount Kanchenjunga and Mount Siniolchu.
  Hanuman Tok 9 km from the city, situated at a height of 7200 feet, it is a temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman.
  Stay overnight at hotel in Gangtok.

• Day 6 : Gangtok-Changu/Nathula

  Have an early breakfast at the hotel.
  At around 8 am leave for Tsongmo Lake, 34km from Gangtok, situated at an altitude of 12,400 feet and it is 3:00 hour drive. This is the most visited lake in Sikkim. The lake is associated with many myths and legends and is considered sacred by the locals.
  We also visit Baba Harbhajan Mandir situated at an altitude of 13,200 feet.
  Some 18 km from Tsongmo Lake, situated at 14,600 feet, is the famous Nathula Pass. You can optionally book visit to Nathula Pass and an extra cost. But this has to be done at time of your booking only as you need to have a permit to visit Nathula pass. This Nathula pass will only be visited if permit could be achieved and roads conditions are fine. Foreign national are not allowed to visit and photography is strictly prohibited. Nathula cannot be visited on Mondays and Tuesdays.
  Return to Gangtok by evening and stay overnight.

• Day 7 : Gangtok to Pelling

  Have an early breakfast at the hotel.
  After breakfast drive to Pelling for about 4:00 hour drive . Pelling offers breathtaking views of Mount Kanchenjunga and surrounding Himalayan ranges. The famous monasteries are in Pelling. Its offers a range of short treks and nature walks.
  On your arrival in Pelling, check in at the hotel and stay overnight at your hotel

• Day 8 : Pelling Local Sightseeing

  Wake up early this morning not to miss the breadth taking view of Mt Khanchenjunga and its ranges at the sunrise. You can witness the mountain range sipping a hot coffee from your hotel room window / balcony.
  After breakfast, we shall proceed for a full day sightseeing of Pelling.
  We drive to start up with a drive to Kechapalari Lake (24 Kms from Pelling) via Rimbi waterfall. This unusually calm and placid lake, located in the midst of a dense forest is considered sacred to both Buddhist and the Hindus, who come here to make a wish. Seen from above the lake is shaped like the footprints of Guru Padmasambhava.
  After that we will visit the Khanchaedzonga waterfalls.
  Return to Pelling by evening and stay overnight.

• Day 9 : Pelling-NJP/Bagdogra

  Breakfast at the hotel
  After breakfast transfer to NJP railway station or Bagdogra airport for your train / flight to onward destination

  My Sister had booked a package from Vishwa Bhraman Travel Solutions Pvt. Ltd.. We were satisfied with the Jim Corbett Package. Then we planned to go for a new package for Kanha National Park. We were searching for a property which will be situated within the forest and the arranged that for Us. Not only that the Journey from Jabalpur to Kanha was also taken care by them .
