Package Overview
This 8-day kids' camp introduces children to the thrill of trekking in the great outdoors. This is a moderately challenging trek where an average day includes 6-7 hrs of trekking. The group treks to the holy Hemkund lake and the Valley of Flowers, and enjoys numerous adventure activities designed to help overcome their innate fears. This trek boasts some truly spectacular sights with its snow-capped peaks, lush green landscapes and innumerable streams.
Destination
Hemkund, the Valley of Flowers, and Auli are nestled in the Gharwal region of Uttarakhand surrounded by majestic Himalayan range. The elevation of the area varies from 10,400 feet to 21,800 feet. This trek offers picturesque views of the snow-capped peaks and valleys filled with blooming flowers, making it a perfect place to camp in the summers.

Day wise Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrive in Haridwar
The Group Arrives At Haridwar and Checks in to a Hotel in Rishikesh.

Day 2 : Travel to Pulna
After an early start, the campers travel to Pulna from Rishikesh, through beautiful mountains and deep valleys.

Day 3 : Trek to Ghangria
The Trek Begins Today. the Group Sets Out for a Moderately Challenging 10 Km Trek to Ghangria, a Small Village On the Way to Hemkund Sahib At An Altitude of 10090 Feet. Overnight in Tents.

Day 4 : Acclimatize in Ghangria
The Group Spends the Day On Short Hikes to Acclimatize and Then Retires for the Night At Ghangria.

Day 5 : Trek Through Valley of Flowers
Trek Through the Spectacular Valley of Flowers and Enjoy the Panoramic Views of the Valley from 12250 Feet Above Sea Level. Overnight At Ghangria.

Day 6 : Trek to Hemkund lake
The highlight for today is the holy lake of Hemkund situated at an elevation of 14,500 feet. The group treks a distance of 12 km in approximately 9 hrs. Overnight stay at Ghangria.

Day 7 : Trek to Pulna
Today the group makes the return trek to Pulna and then heads to Joshimath for the night.

Day 8 : Travel to Auli and Haridwar
After a hearty breakfast, the tired trekkers head to Auli and then proceed to Haridwar, enjoying a delicious lunch en route. The trip ends after reaching Haridwar railway station.

Terms & Conditions
Payment Terms & Methods :
Pugmarks establishes a tie-up with local hospital/nursing home/doctor at every camp site.
In case of remote areas, either a vehicle is retained at the campsite or it is on-call at the local transporter.
A roll call/physical count will be taken to ensure nobody is left behind. This will be observed during travel, treks and adventure activities. A Pugmarks instructor will lead the walking trail in the jungle, and the end will be brought up by another instructor and nobody will trail behind him.
In the mountains, there are rescue parties to evacuate victims suffering from altitude sickness, asthma and body injuries. In the remote wilderness, there are standby vehicles to transfer the victim to the nearest primary health centre or hospital.
Emergency involving whole group - This can be a natural calamity, local unrest and violence or even a mundane traffic jam that throws all schedules out of gear. In such situations, the control room seeks help from the police commissioner and coordinates with district authorities to sort out the problem.
Cancellation & Refund Policy :
Cancellation charges will be applicable as follows and will cover all situations such as injuries, sickness, exams, interviews, selection in tournaments etc:
More than 30 days prior to departure - 10% of the trip cost will be charged
30-16 days prior to departure - 15% of the trip cost will be charged
15-10 days prior to departure - 50% of the trip cost will be charged
Less than 10 days prior to departure - 100% of the trip cost will be charged.
