Day wise Itinerary

  • Day 1 : Arrive Delhi

    Arrive: Delhi late in the evening. On arrival you will be received by our representative for transfer to hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

  • Day 2 : Delhi

    After breakfast take sightseeing tour of historic city visiting Old Delhi visiting the majestic Red Fort ( outside ), a marvel in red sandstone, Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India, both built by emperor Shah Jahan of Taj Mahal fame, Rajghat - memorial of Mahatma Gandhi & a Rickshaw ride past through the silver street in Chandani Chowk, the city tour continues covering
    New Delhi, visiting Rashtrapati Bhawan, one-time imperial residence of the British viceroys; the India Gate, a memorial raised in honour of the Indian soldiers martyred during the Afghan war; the Laxmi Narayan Temple, visiting built by the Birlas, one of India’s leading industrial families.
    Evening visit largest cultural temple, Akshardham temple” visit the temple and its museum, later shopping and return to hotel for overnight stay.

  • Day 3 : Delhi - Corbett

    Morning drive to Corbett (295 kms). Upon arrival in Corbett Check in at hotel.

    Jim Corbett National Park is the oldest national park in India and was established in 1936
    as Hailey National Park to protect the endangered Bengal tiger. It is located in Nainital District of Uttarakhand and was named after Jim Corbett who played a key role in its Establishment. The park was the first to come under the Project Tiger initiative.

    The park has sub-Himalayan belt geographical and ecological characteristics. An Ecotourism destination, it contains 488 different species of plants and a diverse Variety of fauna. The increase in tourist activities, among other problems, continues to present a serious challenge to the park's ecological balance.

    Corbett has been a haunt for tourists and wildlife lovers for a long time. Tourism activity is only allowed in selected areas of Corbett Tiger Reserve so that people get an opportunity to see its splendid landscape and the diverse wildlife. In recent years the number of people coming here has increased dramatically. Presently, every season more than 70,000 visitors come to the park from India and other countries.

    Corbett National Park comprises 520.8 km2. area of hills, riverine belts, marshy depressions, grass lands and large lake. The elevation ranges from 1,300 feet (400 m) to 4,000 feet (1,200 m). Winter nights in Corbett Park are cold but the days are bright and sunny. It rains from July to September.

    Dense moist deciduous forest mainly consists of sal, haldu, pipal, rohini and mango trees, and these trees cover almost 73 per cent of the park. The 10 per cent of the area consists of grasslands. It houses around 110 tree species, 50 species of mammals, 580 bird species and 25 reptile species. The endangered Bengal tiger of India resides here. Overnight at the hotel.

  • Day 4 : Corbett

    Early morning & afternoon, enjoy Jeep safari into the park for wildlife viewing and to spot Tigers. Overnight at the hotel.

  • Day 5 : Corbett - Unchagaon

    Early morning enjoy Jeep safari into the park for wildlife viewing and to spot Tigers. Later in the afternoon drive to Unchagaon (210 Kms). Upon arrival check into Uchagaon Fort. Overnight at the hotel.

  • Day 6 : Unchagaon - Agra

    Morning drive to Agra (175 Kms). Upon arrival in Agra, check into your hotel.
    Afternoon visit to witness incomparable Taj Mahal with its’ speculative view at the time of Sunrise. Taj Mahal, the architectural modern day wonder of the world; this monument is a fine example of the fusion of many architectural styles is one of the wonders of the modern world. Taj, endowed it with some of the loveliest buildings in the world. Return to Hotel for breakfast.
    Later visit Agra Fort, designed and built by Akbar in 1565 A.D., built with barricaded wall of red sand stone; it houses the beautiful Pearl Mosque and numerous palaces including the Jahangir Mahal, Diwan-i-Khas, Diwan-i-Am, Macchhi Bhawan, Nagina Masjid, Meena Bazar, Moti Masjid, Sheesh Mahal, Musamman Burj where from Taj Mahal is visible in all its beauty from one side of the fort. So very ironically, Emperor Sahahjahan, prisoner of his son Aurangzeb in his old age was put in a cell from where he could gaze at the Taj Mahal at a distance, from his cell in the fort.     Agra is famous as being home to one of the Seven Wonders of the World-the Taj Mahal. A pleasant town with comparatively slow pace, Agra is known for its superb inlay work on marble and soapstone by craftsmen who are descendant of those who worked under the Mughals. The city is also famous for its carpets, gold thread embroidery and leather shoes. Agra, and the nearby city of Fatehpur Sikri, is conveniently close to Delhi. Besides the Taj Mahal are Agra Fort, Sikandra, Ram Bagh and Itmad-Ud-Daulah-35 kms away are the imperial ruins of the Mughal city, Fatehpur Sikri. Agra is an old city and it is said that its name was derived from Agrabanad, a forest that finds mention in the epic Mahabharata.

  • Day 7 : Agra - Bharatpur

    Morning drive to Bharatpur en route visiting Fatehpur Sikri –

    Bharatpur is a city in the Indian state of Rajasthan. Located in the Brij region, Bharatpur was once considered to be an impregnable city and was the capital of the Jat kingdom. The city is situated 55 km west of the city of Agra and 35 km from Mathura. It is also the administrative headquarters of Bharatpur District and the headquarters of Bharatpur Division of Rajasthan. The Royal House of Bharatpur traces its history to the eleventh Century AD. Bharatpur has been included as a part of Delhi's National Capital Region

    Upon arrival, check-in at hotel. Overnight at hotel.

  • Day 8 : Bharatpur - Ranthambore

    Later transfer to Bharatpur railway station in time to board your train to Sawai Madhopur (1545/1800 hrs). You will be met upon arrival at Sawai Madhopur and transferred to your hotel in Ranthambore. Ranthambhore, hailed as one of India's finest wildlife locations, It was established as a sanctuary in 1959 and included in the very first phase of Project Tiger in 1972. The park derives its name from the fort of Ranthambhor, which sits on a rocky outcrop in the forest. The fort dates back to the 11th century when it was a vital citadel for the control of central India. Though overrun by vegetation, remnants of the summer palaces, temples and guard stones within the fort still remain. Earlier, the hunting preserve of the Maharajas of Jaipur, the Park at Ranthambhor was once the scene of royal hunting parties. Today, it is famous for its tigers and is one of the best places in the country to see these majestic predators in the wild.
    Ranthambore is the place to see a tiger in its natural habitat. In the dry season tigers can be seen near the watering holes and are clearly visible in the dry forest.

  • Day 9 : Ranthambore

    Early morning & late afternoon you will be escorted on a game viewing in the sanctuary by canter/jeeps. Overnight at the hotel.

  • Day 10 : Ranthambore - Delhi

    Early morning you will be escorted on a game viewing in the sanctuary by canter/jeeps. Later in the afternoon you will be transferred to the railway station in time to board your train to Delhi (1240/1905 hrs). You will be met upon arrival and taken to the International airport in time to connect your flight back home.
