Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrival Udaipur

  Arrival Udaipur
  Meeting and assistance upon arrival as our representatives welcome you and escort you to your car. Later you will be taken for a sightseeing tour visiting Kumbhalgarh, Hamerpal and Ranakpur.
  Kumbhalgarh Fort:
  Kumbhalgarh is one of the finest examples of defensive fortification in Rajasthan. Kumbhalgarh is about 85 km from Udaipur.
  
  The Kumbhalgarh fort was the second most important fort of the Mewar kingdom after Chittorgarh. This fort is rising from a prominent ridge at a height of 1914 meters high from the sea level. The fort was built in 15th century AD by Rana Kumbha.
  This fort was built in 15th century AD by Rana Kumbha between 1445 and 1458 AD. The massive fort, encompassed by a 36 km long wall, has seven majestic gates and seven ramparts, one within the other which are ideal for nature trail. The Last gate-the 'Nimboo Pol' has fascinating chambers. According to history, the infant Udai Singh who later founded Udaipur, was smuggled from Bundi and was hidden in these chambers to save himself from his murderous intentions of his uncles. The fort has witnessed many heroic deeds of great warriors. This formidable fort fell only once to the army of Akbar and that too because the water supply was contaminated by the enemy forces.
  Ranakpur:
  The Ranakpur Jain Temple was built during the reign of the liberal and gifted monarch Rana Kumbha in the 15th century. The basement is of 48, 000 sq. feet area that covers the whole complex. There are four subsidiary shrines, twenty-four pillared halls and eligibly domes supported by over four hundred columns. The total number of columns is 1,444 all of which are intricately carved with no two being alike. The artistically carved nymphs playing the flute in various dance postures at a height of 45 feet are an engrossing sight. In the assembly hall, there are two big bells weighing 108 kg whose sound echoes in the entire complex. The main temple is of Chaumukh or four-faces temple dedicated to Adinath.
  Hamerpal Lake:
  महारांणा उपाधि की सार्थकता का साक्षी सरोवर
  कुंभलगढ़ के पास स्थित हमेरपाल उस तालाब का नाम है जिसकाे मेवाड़ के पहले महाराणा हमीरसिंह ने 1330 ई. में बनवा कर प्रतिष्ठा की। अलाउद्दीन ख़लजी ने मेवाड़ के गुहिल राजवंश की महारावल शाखा को खत्म कर दिया तो सिसोदा गांव के हमीरसिंह ने जी जान लगाकर चित्तौड़गढ़़ को हथिया लिया। उसके इस लक्ष्य में गुजरात की बरबड़ी देवी व उनके सहयोगी सरदारों ने खूब मदद की। सिंहासन पर अरूढ़ करते समय वहीं की परंपरा के तहत "महरांणा" उपाधि या खि़ताब दिया। गुजरात के कई सिसोदिया शासकों ने भी इसी खिताब को बरकरार रखा है। महरांण मूलत: 'महार्णव' का देशज रूप है. बाद में यह शब्द " महाराणा " हो गया मगर सिसोद्या हमीरसिंह के मेरे खोजे गये एकमात्र ताम्रपत्र में महरांण उपाधि ही अंकित है. शासक को इस उपाधि के मूल में विचार रहा कि वह सागर जैसे धीर गंभीर, रत्नोदधि गुणों का धारक है.
  किंतु.... हमीरसिंह ने सिसोदा से कुछ ही दूर पहाड़ों में बांध बनाकर पानी रोका. यह बाद में तलाद्री ( ताल यानी तालाब अद्रि यानि पहाड़, पहाड़ी ताल) कहा जाने लगा. यह वर्तमान में कुंभलगढ़- केलवाड़ा के पास है. तालाब को हमीर के नाम पर ही हमीरपाल जिसे बाद मे हमेरपाल कहा जाने लगा... पहला महाराणा, पहला यथाशक्ति सागर अंश सरोवर और परंपरा का प्रवर्तन... बाद में महाराणा खेता, लाखा, मोकल, कुंभा, रायमल से लेकर 1948 ई. तक महाराणा भूपाल सिंह तक, लगभग सभी महाराणाओं ने सरोवर बनवाकर अपने ख़िताब को सार्थक किया.
  
  देवझुलनी एकादशी पर केलवाडा कस्बे के मुख्य मंदिर लक्ष्मीनारायण मंदिर,नरसिंह मंदिर,गामडी तलादरी,मेलावडी सहित मेजबान हमेरपाल,चारभुजा मंदिर के वेवाणो का संगम हमेरीपाल पर मेला भरता है
  आज वहा पर भगवान श्री लक्ष्मी नारायण जी का मंदिर है और उस तालाब मे अफ्रीकन साउथ कैट मछलीया दर्शको को आकर्शित करता है जिसे कैट फिश पॉइंट भी कहा जाता है।
  
  
  Kumbhalgarh Fort Light and Sound Show
  The Kumbhalgarh Fort is perched on top of beautiful hills with a wall that is believed to be the second largest wall in the world (after the Great Wall of China). The wall also houses several temples and palaces. Every evening, the fort sparkles for the 45-minute sound and light show which tells the story of its history through music and lights. The rich culture of the royal Rajputs is shown and narrated in Hindi. This event is organized by the Rajasthan State Government Tourism Department. The show starts at 6:45 PM. The fort continues to stay illuminated for an hour after the show. It is a marvelous sight that creates a lasting impression. Visitors are advised to carry torches inside as the lighting is poor
