Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrive Leh - Day Free to Acclimatise

  On your arrival at Leh Airport, meet the local tour representative at specified area who will transfer you to the hotel. Take rest as you’ll need time to acclimatise in this climate. From low elevation at New Delhi, you’ve reached over 11000 feet and thus the weather is very different here. During afternoon, you can take a leisurely walk through the old town for a self orientation with the lovely city. However, keep it relaxed. Return to hotel, have dinner and sleep tight in the peaceful silence of the valley.

• Day 2 : Leh - Full Day Sightseeing

  Visit to Shey, Thicksey & Hemis Monastery
  Wake up to a tranquil morning, breathe purest of air and take a fill at morning breakfast. Set out for a full day sightseeing of the massive Tibetan Buddhist Gompas of Shey, Thicksey and Hemis.
  
  Shey is a beautiful ancient capital, a few kilometres up the Indus that charms everyone with its age old palaces and temples restored impressively. Further drive to see the fortress styled monastery of Thikse. Then we visit the Hemis Monastery, believed to be the most famous and rich Buddhist temple in the entire region. After exploring the sacred monasteries, return back to hotel and relax. You can stroll in the small local markets to buy some souvenirs. Have dinner at hotel and retire to a relaxed sleep.

• Day 3 : Leh - Visit to Pangong Tso

  Have an early breakfast today morning and set out for a visit to the famous Pangong Lake via Chang La. Enjoy the spectacular journey with amazing sceneries of snow clad Himalayas. Situated along India/China border, Pangong Lake is an utter delight to eyes with its various water colors seen at a stretch. It is the highest salt-water lake in the world with a height of 4267 metres, 130 kms long and about 6 kms wide. The perfectly clear environment with beautiful sky and surrounding hills add to the magnificence. After having an ethereal experience here, drive back to Leh. Have dinner, spend some more time with nature and enjoy the crystal clear sky views with glittering stars at night.

  • Hotspots : Pangong Lake

• Day 4 : Leh to Nubra

  After morning breakfast, get ready for a thrill filled day. Check out from the hotel and drive to Nubra Valley via World’s Highest Motorable Pass. Drive through steep serpentine roads and reach Khardung La at a height of 5550 metres. Take a stop at the pass and enjoy bird’s eye view of Leh city. Capture the fantastic views in your camera before driving down to Nubra Valley. It is an enticing old caravan route at the confluence of Shyok and Nubra rivers. Arrive at the camp resort, freshen up and proceed to visit the charming valley of Diskit, the tiny capital of Nubra. Visit the famous Diskit Gompa, the oldest and largest Buddhist monastery (gompa) in the Nubra Valley providing a breathtaking view of the valley. After the visit, further drive to Hunder to see the cold desert and the world famous two humped camels. Enjoy a unique camel ride (on your own cost). After a super exciting time, it is time for some rest. We get back to the camps in late afternoon and relax. Take leisurely strolls in the evening, have dinner and retire for a relaxed sleep.
  
  Stay overnight in camps of Nubra. (B + L + D)

• Day 5 : Nubra to Leh

  Enjoy a beautiful morning in the camps, charge yourself with morning breakfast and create lifetime memories. Today, drive back to Leh driving on the same route crossing the Khardung La (pass) once again. Arrive at Leh around afternoon and check in at hotel. You can go for some shopping in nearby local markets or just relax. Have dinner and go for a relaxed sleep to recharge yourself for the upcoming day.

• Day 6 : Leh to Alchi & Lamayuru

  Today morning after breakfast, set out for a yet more exciting day. Drive on the stunning Indus river route to visit the lovely oasis of Alchi situated in the outer Zanskar region. Drive past the colorful villages and hill side monasteries, cross the bridge and arrive at Alchi early afternoon. Explore this tiny village and visit its famous monastery famed for its wall paintings from 11th century. These are one of the oldest surviving paintings in Ladakh and reflect artistic and spiritual details of Buddhism and Hindu kings of the ancient era. After wrapping up the Alchi visit, drive further to visit the Lamayuru monastery. It is one of the largest and oldest Gompa in Ladakh found in 11th century (allegedly on the site of a dried-up lake) and is a home to around 150 permanent monks. After a day into Ladakh ancient culture, head back to Leh.
  
  Stay overnight at hotel in Leh. (B + D)

• Day 7 : Return Home with Lifetime Memories

  Enjoy the morning in the beautiful abode and fill your lungs with this cleanest of air before returning back to Delhi. Bid bye to the friendly local people. Have your breakfast and drive back to the airport for your return flight. We would love to hear your feedback once you return. Departure (B)
