Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Guwahati

  Arrive Guwahati. Received and transfer to hotel. Evening visit the Shankardev Kalashetra - a cultural center with a fine deposition of the life and culture of the people of Assam. Enjoy a light and sound show. Return to hotel and overnight.

• Day 2 : Guwahati - Kaziranga National Park

  Morning after breakfast drive to Kaziranga (220kms/5hrs) - reach in the afternoon and check in at a hotel. Afternoon take a stroll alongside the fringes of the forest and view wildlife. Overnight.

• Day 3 : Kaziranga

  Early morning Elephant safari in the central range of the park followed by jeep safaris in the eastern and western ranges after breakfast and lunch. Overnight.

• Day 4 : Kaziranga National Park - Dirang

  After early breakfast depart for Dirang in Arunachal Pradesh (300kms/9hrs) - reach in the evening after driving in a hill stretch alongside the river Kameng that flows through the valley. Overnight at hotel.

  • Themes : Hill Stations & Valleys

• Day 5 : Sangte Valley

  At 0600 hrs depart from Hotel by car to Sangte valley (12kms/30mins). Start trekking from Sangte to Chandar which will be approximately for 8-9 hrs at an altitude range of upto 9,000 ft. Overnight camping at Chandar.Initially easy trek alongside the river and then uphill through mountain terrains and forests to a barren ridge called Chandar. Enroute we will find small villages of nomadic tribes. At Chandar we can have a clear view of the Gorichen peak, the highest mountain peak in Arunachal Pradesh. This is subject to clear weather condition.

• Day 6 : Lagam

  Start at around 07.00 hrs to Lagam. Today's trek will be for approximately 8-9 hrs at an altitude range of upto 8500 ft. Overnight camping at Lagam.
  Trek downhill through unused Motorable path and green forest.

• Day 7 : Thembang

  Start trek at 07.00 hrs to Pagma which is at an altitude range of 7600 ft. and then onwards to Thembang at an altitude of 7000 ft. Approximately 7-8 hrs of trekking will be involved. Overnight camping at Thembang.
  Today trek both up and down the ridge and pass through small Monpa tribal villages. Thembang is one of the oldest Monpa village of the West Kameng district of Arunachal Pradesh and the home of the rulers of the Monpa tribe. It is said that Thembang used to be one of the richest village in culture and traditions amongst the Monpas. The villagers are the followers of Buddhism and believe in traditional rituals.

  • Themes : Trekking

• Day 8 : Dirang

  Drive to Dirang (approx. 3 hrs) and stay overnight at Hotel.

• Day 9 : Dirang - Nameri National Park

  After breakfast drive to Nameri (200kms/6hrs) - enroute stop at Bomdila to visit the Monastery. Visit the Tippi Orchidarium where over 200 varieties of rare orchids are preserved. Reach Nameri in the evening and check in at an Eco Camp on the fringes of Nameri National Park. Overnight.

• Day 10 : Nameri

  Full day spent in the national park with activities like rafting down the Jia Bhoreli river and trekking inside the forest to view the rich bird life. Overnight at the camp.

  • Themes : Trekking

• Day 11 : Nameri - Balipara

  After breakfast depart for Balipara (40kms/1hr). Check in at a heritage tea bungalow in the midst of a tea estate to stay for 02 nights at the Wild Mahseer. Rest of the day spend leisurely exploring the tea estate to know all about tea - how it is made and manufactured. Overnight.

• Day 12 : Balipara

  Full day at the tea estate exploring surrounding villages and visiting the weekly market. Interface with the local community. Overnight.

• Day 13 : Balipara - Guwahati

  After breakfast departure transfer to Guwahati airport (220kms/5hrs) to board flight to onward destination.
