Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : from hotel to marangu gate to Mandara Hut

  After breakfast in your hotel a car with driver and guide will be waiting you outside. A journey to Kilimanjaro Mountain Marangu gate starts and it will take a maximum of 1 hour. After you get to the Kilimanjaro gate park you will register you name, nationality, age, passport and other required informations. There after the guides, cook and porters will be ready to commence the journey hiking to the first point Mandara Hut. Walk through the rain forest to the Mandara Huts. A side trip to Maundi Crater is a good way to see the surroundings including Northern Tanzania and Kenya. In the rain forest, look for towering Eucalyptus trees, bird life, and Colobus monkeys. Lunch box will be given, dinner and overnight at mandara hut.

  Distance: 8km/ 5mile
  Hiking Time: 3-4 hours
  Habitat: mountain Forest.

• Day 2 : from mandara hut to horombo hut

  The second day trek to Horombo Hut (3,760m) is about ten miles and takes 5 to 6 hours. About half an hour after leaving Mandara hut, the climber emerges from the rain forest into alpine meadow. This is very pretty day, with splendid view possible of the two peaks and of the plains below the mountain. The vegetation is also very spectacular especially higher up, where giant lobelias and scenes may be seen.

• Day 3 : from horombo to Kibo hut and summit overnight

  Climbing continues to Kibo Hut (4,730m), which is at the foot of Kibo peak. The route takes the climber up to saddle between the peaks of Kibo and Mawenzi, and then across the high altitude desert to the hut. The climber takes about six hours. At night you will start hiking to the Uhuru Peak of mount Kilimanjaro, you may stay there till the dawning of 5th day during sunrise and you can take enough lifetime memorable picture for your adventure.

• Day 4 : descend from summit to Kibo hut then to Horombo hut

  This day in the morning you will be back from the summit at Uhuru peak (5,895m). The climbers return to Horombo for overnight

• Day 5 : descend from Horombo hut to Marangu gate for exit

  Descend to Marangu Gate where the vehicle will be waiting to transfer the climber(s) back to the hotel.
