Panch Kedar Trek

Package Overview

In between the valleys of rivers Bhagirathi and Alaknanda is situated the Panch Kedar. The hindu believe as the Panch Kedar is being formed by the five Pandavs. According to the legend, after the Pandavs killed Kauravs( cousins ) and Brahmins ( gurus ) they came here for salivation to seek Shiva's blessing, purging them off sin of fraticide ( killing own cousin )in the battle of Kurukshetra. Shivam converted himself as a bull and started to plunge underground. When he was spotted by Pandavas. The rump of bull is being spotted and is worshipped. The other four places where Shiva is worshipped take their appearance from different part of his body.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Delhi - Alpine Adventure Camp (Duggalbitta) Chopta

  Over night stay at Luxery swiss Tents.

• Day 2 : Alpine Camp - Urgam - Kalpeshwar

  In the morning after breakfast drive to Helang. From her we will start our trek up to Urgam Village. We will cross Alaknanda River via Road Bridge. The trek pass through the dense forest, murmuring water falls along with KalpGanga.After the Lunch walk up to the first Kedar (one of Panch Kedar) during your trek. The locks (hair) of lord Shiva worshiped in this temple. From Later return trek to Urgam. Evening free to explore the fascinating Urgam Valley. Dinner and night stay in Home stay Tourism or Dom Tents.

• Day 3 : Urgam - Dumuk Village

  After an early breakfast trek up to Dumuk Village through dense forest, lush green meadows. This is the tough day. Evening arrival at Dumuk village. Meet the locals, know their culture etc. Dinner and overnight stay in tents or Home Stay.

• Day 4 : Dumuk - Rudranath (2286 mts/7498 ft)

  Morning trek up to the temple of Sri Rudranath, another form of lord Shiva. In this temple The face of the Shiva is worshiped. From here we can see a splendid view of Hathi Parvat, Nanda Devi, Nanda Ghunti, Trishuli and other group of peaks. You can also visit the Suryakund, Chandrakund, Tarakund which is located nearby the temple. Dinner and overnight stay in tents

• Day 5 : Rudranath - Mandal –Alpine Camp (Duggalbitta) (26 kms/2 hrs Drive)

  Morning after breakfast trek down to Mandal Village through the dense forest and meadows. Mandal is also known Cherapunji of Garhwal. Dinner and overnight stay in Alpine camp (Duggalbitta)

• Day 6 : Alpine Camp (Duggalbitta) – Tungnath ,Chandrashila Trek

  After an early breakfast trek to Tungnath ,Chandrashila. Tungnath is situated at the height of 3680 mts. Upon arrival at Tungnath Temple and visit the temple. After relax one furth er 1 kms trek to Chandrasila peak. Later trek back to Alpine Camp( Duggalbitta) for dinner and overnight stay

• Day 7 : Alpine Camp - Ransi village.(40 Km Drive) (Approximately)

  After an early breakfast Drive to Ransi Village.
  Same Day -Ransi - Bantoli (7 Km).
  Start trekking from Ransi to Bantoli some 7 km away. There is a lovely view of waterfalls and forests as it rises to Gondhar. Less than 1 km later, another bridge spans the Saraswati River just as it merges into the Madhyamaheshwar stream.Over Night stay at Guest House or Tents.

• Day 8 : Bantoli - Madmaheshwar (9.5 Km.)

  From Bantoli, the path continues north-west as it rises steadily past Khatara (1 km) to Nanu (2 km). The path exits from the forest as it is rounds the mountain to emerge at the Madhyamaheshwar (3,000m) meadow. Overnight stay at Madhyamaheshwar. Over night stay at Guest House or Tents.

• Day 9 : Madmaheshwar - Buda Madmaheshwar and back (3 Km.)

  One hour of natural and spiritual trekking. Over night stay at Guest House or Tents in Madmaheshwar.

  • Themes : Trekking

• Day 10 : Madmaheshwar - Guptkashi

  Morning after breakfast down trek for Ransi village and then drive to Guptkashi . Evening explore the surroundings. Dinner and overnight stay in Guest house.

• Day 11 : Guptkashi - Gaurikund - Kedarnath (3584 mts/11756 ft)

  Morning after breakfast drive to Gaurikund and from here 14 km trek up to Sri Kedarnath, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. The trek is passes through beautiful surroundings. On arrival check in at guest house. Evening explore the surroundings. Dinner and overnight stay in Guest house.

• Day 12 : Kedarnath - Gaurikund - Rudraparyag

  Morning after breakfast visit Kedarnath temple, trek down to Gaurikund and drive to Your next Journey.
