Arrive at Muscat International airport, where you will be a meet and greet by our representative and assisted with your private transfer to the hotel. You have the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at Muscat. On the next day after breakfast proceeds for a private half-day city tour. The tour starts by visiting the 5th largest mosque in the world, Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque (except Friday). Passing by the diplomatic quarter, visit the oldest and largest market in Oman, Muttrah Souq, where you can shop for Omani Souvenirs. Walk through the narrow alleys where the air is filled with the smell of frankincense and sandalwood. Next, we visit Al Alam Palace where the sultan receives his state guests. The palace is flanked by two Portuguese fortresses, Al Jalali to the right and Al Mirani to the left. At a museum, you will witness traditional artefacts and traces of history and pre-history of Muscat. Overnight stay in Muscat. this tour package also encloses Nizwa Fort, Bahla Fort, Jebel Shams, Omani Grand Canyon, Wadi Bani Khalid, the dhow factory, Wadi Shab and Wadi Tiwi, Bimmah Sinkhole, On the last day of your tour you’ll be driven to the Muscat airport for a flight back home.

Day wise Itinerary

Day 1 : Muscat

Day 2 : Muscat

Day 3 : Muscat

Today after breakfast proceed to cultural capital of the country Nizwa. Explore the city of Nizwa where its Souq is still the best place to buy silver in the country. This is followed by a visit to the most visited national monument, Nizwa Fort. Later we visit one of the most beautiful castle of Oman from 17th century, Jabreen, and another UNESCO site, Bahla Fort, the oldest and biggest fort in the country. Overnight stay in Nizwa.

Day 4 : Day Trip to Jebel Shams & Al Hamra

Today after breakfast we proceed to Al Hamra. Here the village women demonstrate old practices such as milling, coloring, cooking and more, a truly enriching experience. To the west of Al Hamra lies the road winding up Jebel Shams, the mountain of the sun. It is the highest mountain of the Arabic world. The drive to the peak is adventurous; you pass the old village Ghul with its green terrace fields. Some kilometers further you reach the abyss of the Omani Grand Canyon. Then visit the mountain village of Misfah which offers rewarding views of ancient architecture seen in stone houses. Later we return to Nizwa. Overnight stay in Nizwa.

Day 5 : Nizwa – Wahiba Sands

Today after breakfast proceed to Wahiba Sands. Enjoy the drive through the stunning dunes. a vast mass of undulating red and White Sea of sand and dunes rising up to 200 meters, which are, also host to a variety of flora and fauna. After arrival in the camp you climb up on the lonely dune to watch the miraculous sunset. The day ends under the sky of Oman while you sit together around the fire place and try Omani specialties. Overnight Camp stay in Wahiba Sands.

Day 6 : Wahiba Sands – Sur

Today after breakfast, proceed to Sur. On the way we visit the ever-green Wadi Bani Khalid which is one of the most famous ones of the entire Sharqiyah region. The river never dries out completely throughout the year there is continuous water current. Arriving to the fishing town of Sur, the home of Omani traditional Dhows (boat), you will visit the dhow factory in the open air museum. Late in the evening, an extraordinary experience awaits you at the Turtle beach where you will get the opportunity to witness sea turtles coming to the shore and laying eggs! Overnight stay in Sur.

Day 7 : Sur – Muscat – Hometown

After breakfast it’s time to check out. We proceed to Muscat we start the drive with passing by Bimmah Sinkhole with its azure saltwater pool. On the way enjoy leisure hiking through Wadi Shab and Wadi Tiwi. There is possibility for swimming so prepare for some change of clothes. After which you’ll be driven to the Muscat airport for a flight back home.
