“Tread along the easy trekking trail that Prince Charles treaded long time ago to experience the Himalayan Panorama and cultural delights in the mid-hills of Nepal- Royal Trek.”
Prince Charles and the entourage of ninety Royal Officials trekked along the trail in early eighties and since then the trek got its name “Royal Trek”. One of the shortest and easiest treks in Nepal, the Royal Trek chases flat slopes in the foothills of majestic Annapurna. The trek begins in Pokhara, a beautiful lake town in the western Nepal.
This Royal Trek provides the opportunities for meaningful cultural experiences with the diverse mix of peoples and cultures that inhabit this region.
As the trek begins, the trail passes through beautiful Gurung villages. The views in the vicinity include artistic hills wholly occupied by terraced rice fields whereas; to the north the panoramic views of widespread Himalayan Range includes majestic Annapurna Range, uniquely striking Mt. Machapuchhre [Fishtail] and the magnificence of Langtang Himalayas.
The trails in the Royal Trek have very few trekkers and hence, the chances of taking more insightful peep into rural traditional culture of Nepal are very high during this trek. This is an easy and short trek, which best suits to novice trekkers and the trekkers with less time willing to experience the trekking adventure in Nepal.
