Day wise Itinerary

  • Day 1 : Chennai

    The Gateway to Southern India is one of the oldest Cities of the Country. Assistance and transfer to Hotel. Depends on Time arrival to go for Shopping.

  • Day 2 : Chennai

    After Breakfast at Hotel, half day sightseeing Tour, visiting Gandhi Memorial, KalaKshetra, Mylapore Temple, Marina Beach etc. All are important in South India Temple Tours and South India Tours Dinner and overnight stay at Hotel.

  • Day 3 : Chennai - Tirupathi, 160kms/4hours)

    After breakfast at 7.00 am proceed to Tirupathi. On the way we can visit the Kalahasti Temple Lunch at local restaurant Tirupathi is a temple town known for the famous ancient temple of Lord Venkateswara (Lord of Seven Hills or Balaji, as he is Affectionately known) on the top of the 860mts high Tirumala Hills.   • Day 4 : Tirupathi - Tiruthani - Kancheepuram - Mahabalipuram

    After breakfast drive to Kanchipuram (76kms/01.50 hrs). The first Temple dedicated to Shiva was built in the 7th and 8th century and has paintings on the Walls. Temples of Ekambaswara, Kailasanatha is one of the Panchabhoota Stalams, Sri Kamakshi and Varadarajaswamy are of interest. Kanchipuram is also famous for its Silks.   • Day 5 : Mahabalipuram - Thiruvannamalai - Pondicherry

    After breakfast drive to Tiruvannamalai(112kms/03hrs). A Pilgrim centre with an ancient Temple of Lord Shiva. The Hill here is considered to be a manifestation of Shiva. Tiruvannamalai is one of the Panchabhoota Stalams. After lunch at local Restaurant, proceed to Pondicherry (131kms/ 3.5hrs), which carries a strong whiff of the French presence in India. This erstwhile French colony on the east coast of South India merged with the rest of the country in 1954. Legend says that Pondicherry is the place where St. Agasthaya settled down. Check-in, Dinner and overnight stay at Hotel.

  • Day 6 : Pondicherry

    After breakfast drive to visit Sri Mannakula Vinayagar Temple Lord Ganesha Darshanam, Aurbindo Ashram, the city of dawn, which is 10kms north of Pondicherry. This Ashram promotes Aurbindo's ideas in bringing about a synthesis of Yoga and modern science, so as to unite the Spirit and Matter. After Lunch at Hotel, visit Auroville - a unique experiment in International living and in creating a new environment where men and women of all Nationalities live together in Harmony and for the if your interested to visit the factories in Auroville products production. Dinner and overnight stay at Hotel.

  • Day 7 : Pondicherry - Chidambaram - Tanjore

    After breakfast drive to Chidambaram (65kms/1.5hrs) also called as Thillai, which has the famous Nataraja Temple with the root of the Sanctum-Sanctorum covered with Golden Plates is located in the centre of the Town covering an area of 40 acres. In this Temple, Postures from the Bharatnatayam form of Dance are depicted in Sculpture. Natraja is Lord Shiva as a cosmic Dancer. Nataraja performs his Dance (the Ananda Thandavam) eternally. The Chitsabah and the Kanakasabha are linked together and are called 'Ponnambalam'. This is also called as 'Chittambalam' and 'Gnanasabah'. There is a small entrance to the right of the Dancing Siva is one of the Panchabhoota Stalams.

  • Day 8 : Navagraha Temple

    Swamimalai is one of the Six Renowned abodes of Lord Subramanya. The Temple is built on an Artificial Hill and is approached by a flight of steps. The presiding deity is Worshipped as Swaminathan. The Temple has three 'Gopuram' with three 'Praharam'. The 'Gopuram' on the South side of the Temple is decorated with Statues and contains five storeys while the other two entrances have no Towers above them. Swamimalai is a Sylvan Village, located about Five Kilometers West of Kumbakonam on the banks of a Tributary of River Cauvery Arupadaiveedu Tourism.   • Day 12 : Tanjore - Trichy (60kms/1.5hrs)

    After Breakfast leave for Trichy, short name of Tiruchirapalli, situated on the banks of Kaveri River is a blend of History and Tradition as well as Pilgrim centre, it is famous for Ranganatha Temple at Srirangam. This Ancient Temple dedicated to Shiva (Jambukeswarar) and Parvati (Akhilandeswari) is one of the foremost Saivite shrines in Tamilnadu. This large Temple celebrates Shiva as Jambukeswara, an embodiment of the element water and is often referred to as Appustalam and is hence one of the Pancha Bhuta Sthalams Checkin at Hotel.   • Day 13 : Trichy - pazani - Madurai (140kms/2.15hrs) (135 kms /3 hrs)

  • Day 14 : Madurai

    After breakfast Near by Madurai one hour drive to Thiruparankundram or Paramkundru, a Hill near Madurai, in Tamilnadu - South India, is the first and foremost Temple of Lord Muruga in India and is the first Aarupadai Veedu as well.   • Day 15 : Madurai - Rameshwaram - Thiruchendur (188kms/2.5hrs) (95 km/2 hrs )

    After breakfast, proceed to Rameshwaram- the most sacred Temple Town of India is an Island hallowed by the epic Ramayana, where Lord Rama is said to have visited before going into battle of Srilanka. Legend has it that Lord Rama sent Hanuman to Mount Kailash to bring a Lingam for worship the present day Ramanathaswamy Temple stands close to sea on the Eastern side of the Island. One of the twelve Jyotirlinga shrines is also well known for its magnificent corridors and the massive sculptured pillars lining them. Lunch at local Restaurant.   • Day 16 : Thiruchendur - Kanyakumari ( 145kms/4.5 hrs )
