The ancient indians called the beas river as vipas or arjiki while the ancient greeks called it as hyphasis. The current name beas is regarded as formed from vyas who is the author of mahabharata, the great indian epic. Some scholars in himachal pradesh call this river as vipasha.

Beas kund – beas is named after rishi (sage) beas and kund is hindi word for tiny lake. This tiny lake of beas kund is situated at higher and upper valley of solang, which is the heart of winter and summer games in manali. It’s an ideal base camp for climbing nearby peaks of shitidhar, friendship and ladakhi peak. On the west side of beas kund is the magnificient peak of hanuman tibba (5990m), which has an access through tiny pass above this lake.

Exclusions

• Personal expenses of any kind including bottled beverages

• Expanses occurred due to unforeseen circumstances and personal insurance
• The backpack transfer charges during trek would be rs.400 per day for 10 kg bag which would subject to convenience & availability.
• The cost of transportation to reach manali & went back from manali is not included; however we can tailor-made it conditionally.
