The name Maun is derived from the San word 'maung', meaning the place of short reeds. It is the fifth largest town in Botswana with hip-hop streets and magnificent building. Climate and Geography
Winters the days are warm but nights are cold. Summers are extremely hot due to abundant scorching heat of sun. The winters are dry as there is no rainfall and summers are wet with enough showers.
There are many means of transport to tour this small but wonderful city. You can choose between renting a car and hiring a taxi which is quite comfortable but expensive. Local buses are also available that travel to every corner of the city.
