Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : DAY 1

  Arrive in Chennai
  Departing from Madurai airport. Arrive in Chennai to a warm welcome and proceed to visit full day sightseeing tour of Chennai. Later, visit the famous Marina Beach the second largest in the world, Kapaleeswar Temple. Thereafter, proceed straight to Santhome Cathedral, National Art Gallery, St. Mary’s Church, Anna Zoological Park, Birla Planetarium and People’s Park. . On arrival, check in to the hotel for your overnight stay.

• Day 2 : DAY 2

  Mahabalipuram
  After breakfast. In the morning, drive to Mahabalipuram, which is acclaimed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its spectacular rock-cut temples. On the way, make a brief halt at Kanchipuram, the city of 1000 temples and one of the seven sacred cities in India. Thereafter, proceed to the famous Shankaracharya Seer in Kanchipuram. In the meantime, you may shop for some exquisite Kanchiam silk sarees. Later, continue your journey towards Mahabalipuram. Upon arrival in Mahabalipuram, transfer to the hotel for an overnight stay.

• Day 3 : DAY 3

  Mahishasurmardini Caves, Shore Temple, Krishna Mandapam and Arjun’s Penance.
  After Breakfast. Today, embark on a guided sightseeing tour of Mahabalipuram that includes visits to Mahishasurmardini Caves, Shore Temple, Krishna Mandapam and Arjun’s Penance. Later, proceed towards Panch Rathas, a cluster of monolithic temples; Crocodile Farm, home to over 100 crocodiles; School of Art & Sculpture and Snake Venom Extracting Center. Later, leave by road for Chennai. Check-in at the hotel and stay overnight.

  Back to Home
