Munnar Overview

Munnar is an exotic hill station and town that is entrenched in Idukki district of God's Own Country, Kerala. Its name 'Munnar' means 'three rivers' due to the conflux of rivers Mudhirapuzha, Nallathani and Kundaly.

The weather of Munnar remains cool during the days and nights winter season whereas the summer season witnesses warm weather during days and cool nights. The areas near hilly regions experience cool temperatures during all the whole year.

Surrounded with prolific green surroundings including the tea plantations and breath taking valleys, Munnar is a hill station that is elevated 5,200 feet above the sea level and rests in laps of the ranges of Western Ghats. It has the evergreen forest that boasts an exotic flora and fauna. The popular flower namely Neelarkunji that blooms once in 12 years is an attraction whereas the fauna includes grizzled giant squirrel, langurs, endangered gaurs, Nilgiri wood pigeon etc.

    Right from arrival to our final day of travel, they have been very supportive in helping us out. The owner Mr Showkat Ali personally came and visited us on the first day of our travel and made us feel comfortable. As a tourist, all our questions related to any place was patiently answered by him. I would recommend those who wants to visit Kashmir I highly recommend to come via Aly Tour and Travel.     We had very good & safe trip of 8 days from Kochi to Alleppy to Tekkadi to Munnar & back to Kochi. Mr Bino, tour manager was available on phone any time,always ready to help. Mr Jinto, the driver is very cooperative.     We recently visited munnar for a 3 day leisure trip. At first I was very apprehensive to hire a taxi from here as we r not from kerala. But Mr. Sibi assured me that they would provide us the best service. When we arrived in cochin we were welcomed by our driver Mr.Arun who was a polite and friendly person. All the apprehensions we had disappeared and for the next three days we had the most memorable hassle free experience.
